Upgraded HID's

Recommended Posts

At last got a decent day to do this job.

Upgraded original HID bulbs in dipped beam to 6000k bulbs and installed full HID kit 6000k into high beam with LED side lights.

Pics of the difference below. Took about 2 hours total fairly easy install.

Got the car washed too, it was covered in sandy coloured dust today as were all the cars round here for some reason.

Any way took the car out for a spin in the dark, and for £30 odd that the bulbs and HID kit cost and a couple of hours work,

its well worth the effort as its all dark country roads around here. Much better than OEM for sure.

Item number for ebay is 251482091158. or these are the same, http://www.ebay.co.u...oMAAOSw14xWJahN

That's for the h7 high beam kit.

It only needed 2

D2r 6000k bulbs for the dipped beam as they were HID factory fitted. http://www.ebay.co.u...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

For the sidelight just bought these always handy to have a few spare. http://www.ebay.co.u...GYAAOSwv0tVPd6G

Good guide here for changing the original bulbs, http://www.350z-uk.c...g-front-bumber/

Replacing the high beam involves boring a hole in the cover plate for the grommet on the hid kit the rest is just simple wiring and mounting the ballast wherever you want it.

Drop me a pm if you need any more info to do the job.

Good video here for doing the job but you dont need to take the headlight out to do it,

One of my bulbs has stopped working and i'm pretty sure they're aftermarket HID bulbs like this.

Do i just need to get the Bulbs or the whole kit again?

cheers for any advice you can offer me

Matt
