JakeeyB
Engine light came off just after filling up with petrol? Used shell like always. Car drives like it has no problem. I have got berk hfcs on but been on for months without any issue. Any ideas what it could be?
Adrian@TORQEN
Must be the Berks causing it, O2 sensors. Do the pedal dance see what code you get, helps if you video it with your phone so you can count / check the error. That's if you don't have an OBD reader / scanner. jimboy2
Yep. Will be your Berks. Remap time or invest in a code reader to clear codes. Cheap enough on eBay/Amazon. Good to have in your tool box too
GMballistic
Should never assume with the EML coming on as it could be anything causing it to light up, ...but as Adrian above says my money would be on the Berks HFC's causing it. Best to get the code read or read it yourself (pedal dance AKA ECU reset) though just to check to be sure. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/53148-how-to-ecu-accelerator-pedal-throttle-valve-resets/ Fyi ~ my Berks HFC's were fitted to my Zed for quite awhile before they set the EML off (maybe a month or more). Had the code checked & cleared but after that point the EML would come on fairly regularly. Always down to the cats. I got the pedal dance down to a fine art though for switching it off. Eventually though I had it sorted when I had my first UpRev done.
Zeezeebaba
I've had continual issues since the Berks were fitted. Went for about a month then bam once every couple of weeks. New sensors fitted all round but still occasionally brings the light on. Car never misses a beat otherwise. Rock_Steady
Same here!! A good few hundred miles after the berks were on and hey presto, there it was, in all its orange glory.
mdunbar
I tried clearing the fault codes down several times but it always came back on. Ended up needing a new O2 sensor and remap.
PPod
Mines comes back everytime I do peddle dance and after remapped. Just decided will leave it now kind of like that little orange light everytime I'm driving I had it decatted and now art pipes
Easty
Mine came on the other week, did the peddle dance reset and it's been fine since! Give it a try before going paying for it to be plugged in, if it comes back after then I'd go get it checked
JakeeyB
All sorted. I'm covered through the AA so had them come out just to make sure! Turns out it was my 02 sensors. Thanks for the advice everyone
