Adrian_CNC
Hi, has anybody running Tarmac Sportz spacers used them on track? I'm planning to go on a track day and I reminded myself about some horror stories I read previously about unbranded wheel spacers cracking/falling apart... I had my spacers on for about a year now and they've been faultless but taking them on track if they haven't been used in that way before seems a bit risky to me. Any feedback from other people running these would be appreciated (pic of spacers I have below). Jetpilot
The internet is full of "horror stories" of some sort or another, plenty of people have used spacers on track days and I would have no issue with the quality of Tarmacs products. Ekona
Wouldn't bother me either. In reality, if a spacer is good enough for the road then it's good enough for a road car on track.
-Bradders-
I drive mine like im on track all the time lmao, i've had them on since day 1!
Ogman
I took mine on track at Japfest last year, run 20mm front, 25mm rear from Tarmac and had no issues!
Kev T
I also regularly take my 370 on track again with no issue.
veilside z
Mine run on track with no issues at 63mm to the front and 76mm to the rear. They will be fine buddy.
AliveBoy
Drifted at Santa Pod (multiple times, as in 10's of times!), Silverstone, Donnington, Zandvoort, Lydden Hill with them on (probably a couple of others too), for anyone who's familiar with drifting will know how many tyre changes that involves and how much force drifting puts on hubs etc. Also did a track session on them at Castle Combe with never a sniff of an issue, either in the spacer or the studs.
WINKJ
not sure if they have required torque values as I don't run spacers on my Z. If they do, may be worth checking they all torque up accurately?
Adrian_CNC
Thanks for all the replies guys! I was worried about trackdays in particular because of the unusually high temperature and a mix of 5 different metals which expand at different rates - wheels, spacers, 2 stud types and alloys... Like most Z owners I like some B-road blasts from time to time but I don't think I ever got near track day temperatures. Funnily enough I messaged Tarmac when I started this topic asking whether he thinks his spacers are safe for track use is and his reply is "I wouldn't recommend spacers for track use no." But seeing they have been put through their paces before I think I'll take the risk.
