davidv10
So the next thing to get was some new alloy wheels. I find the touring ones not very sports and very unaggressive. I managed to pick up a set of Rays very cheap and so put them on. Looks a lot better now. Edited August 28, 2017 by davidv10
davidv10
So the next thing to do was to give the centre hubs of the brake discs a coat of paint as they had quite a bit of surface rust. Didnt take long to do and makes such a difference as before they were kind of matching the bronze of the calipers! davidv10
Managed to get a set of 'Z' centre caps cheap on here. Only took a few mins to put on, and go with the 'Z' badging all over the car. And yes my wheels do need a clean Edited August 28, 2017 by davidv10
ph 7
I lost a 'z' recently from my centre cap on the front left...must order some more. Looking great so far and looking forward to watching your car change.

cob1980
Good work Nice mods looks a lot better already. The patch on the old drivers was comedy! I'll be following this thread as it's interesting to see what other people do who have bought their 350 around the same time (esp Azure lol). Did you notice any difference handling wise going from Touring alloys to the Rays?
davidv10
Thanks mate, haha yeh the old seat was pretty bad! I didnt really notice any handling differences really tbh... I have a pretty big update coming on 21st June

I have a pretty big update coming on 21st June ooOo interesting, 21st is very precise ha, remap?? I'm collecting my refurbished 19" alloys on Saturday, gone for gloss anthracite, hope I made the right decision.
davidv10
Haha yeh. Well its booked in for 20th and im picking it up on 21st... Its body related rather than performance. But thats all im saying haha. I want to go anthracite on my Rays! But want to paint the internals of the headlights and maybe some black rear lights first to go with the blue black/anthracite theme. cob1980
Cool! I'll keep a look out. Ha same here, i got a pair of facelift lights which i'm going to get the internals painted. I'm going with a anthracite / carbon fibre theme. I think it works well on the azure.
davidv10
Yeh, i was debating whether to get a pair of the aftermarket black lights or just paint mine. Im basically the same but going blue and black rather than carbon fibre (except for the alloys).

davey_83
That's odd, the centres of those leather seats aren't perforated - I some how thought all 350z coupe leathers were perforated?
davidv10
Ok so time for my big update... So after looking at spoiler ideas I saw that a few people had put the Toyota Celica JDM spoiler on their 350s and it looked really good. I managed to get one off a breaker on Ebay for £35 delivered! Found a great place nearby and got it sprayed and fitted. I have to say i am so happy with it and think it looks great!! And it looks like it was made for the car... I don't think I've seen any without perforations either (of course, I could be wrong), all of the examples I viewed had them, and the one I bought does too! Have to admit I had forgotten but then I just so happened to be reading your thread again yesterday Looks great, as you say totally suits the 350. I think I've seen one before or at least very similar but not known what it was.
shaun350z
I think perforated leather only come with the heated seats to allow the heat to vent through the seats quicker? My tan leather seats and black leather seats are both heated and perforated I could be wrong though Z is looking good!
davidv10
Ah that would explain it. Mine arent heated...
cob1980
And I didn't know there was such thing as non heated leather seats for the 350z.
davidv10
Maybe ive just been done and they arent even 350z seats? Haha Maybe just an import thing or something like that? Edited June 22, 2016 by davidv10
