Stutopia
Get a code reader and pop the codes up here.
veeg33
As above ^^ Happened to me once few months back, quick key off and start up again will temporary fix it but luckily mine only happened once and the EML light stayed there. Plugged in an OBD reader and the code pointed it to throttle body sensor. I did the pedal dance to reset my ECU and throttle position. Since then, this never happens again. I would strongly suggest that you check the fault code first before resetting your ECU.
Ebized
Car has gone into 'limp' mode for a reason. As I understand it the ECU will start the car as normal but then will pick up the sensor(s) that are showing an issue and hence the limp mode. ZMANALEX
Do a reset and clear the codes. Report back here if problem reoccurs with the new codes. Common traction issue this time of year with wet roads.
veilside z
Best to invest in a reader buddy, these can be obtained for under £30 or yo can do the pedal dance which can be frustrating. Some just disconnect the battery and reconnect. Hope you get this removed ok. :)
samsniss350z
If you have a smart phone you can record the pedal dance and by counting the flashes work out the code from your recording. A reader would be the best way to go though.
