So i bought my nismo zed back in September and now ive got a few mods already and got a more goodies in the post I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread :) here she is the day i picked her up 314a02ff12c56e85a9407d332d36255e.jpg as nobody had bothered cleaning it for a good while and im a valeter myself i couldnt help giving it a wash straight away!13e997704ba076436c871df8caac98e5.jpg

I think within a week or so i sold a few old car parts I had lying around then purchased a popcharger, decats and plenum ready for a remap! Also painted a few bits in my engine bay numerous times until i was happy with how it looked. Around the same time i booked it in at tdi north for a remap and after 2 months of waiting it got it done 😠happy with outcome with usual added responsiveness and power from the lower gears d41621ab0534a54bc7d6730a3a389047.jpgd371f75385e9ed61764d4b2d9c525815.jpg

The next few things i did were minor as i had to let my wallet recover from the recent purchases. They included rear wiper delete, black badges, private plate (early xmas present) cheap stubby ariel (i regret buying but new one from torqen is in the post) and a good machine polish and wax ready for winter2b28d4e6efe07ec85be8ee6f37d2e319.jpge80fe0a97d7979b1f54e78faa8c989cd.jpgc2b28aa47798364ed750990526f133bd.jpg1d8691d63556ee0de242f86627dd1322.jpg

I also bought a seasucker bike rack as i ride bmx and fitting it in the boot is a no go 27976b698d2b8a17f2d46e5ed857bafe.jpg

Managed to get a few videos with just a decat aswell (full exhaust to come)

So my new wheels got delivered from driftworks on friday and waste no time getting them fitted. With the fronts being et30/8.5j and rears being et12/9.5j i knew i needed some spacers for the front so after yesterday (being impatient) i went to demon tweeks to pick up a pair of eibach 20mm spacers. Got them fitted today and give it a good clean whilst it wasnt raining! Really happy with how it looks now just cant decide whether i want to lower it or not.. 05fce0d4b0d4273c32482765e80fc3c2.jpgc64b802a5897684c300530259b730e3c.jpg62c90732e2d631e5644c32dd2e397be5.jpgc6f82730ae0acd25d4d8bf2bda3bedb7.jpg6c320f6d44959fc3eeaa17786ae15aed.jpg1cf33a8c22dc3e64fccb7fc8a3fb0037.jpg

Very smart looking zed pal and with the power to match.

I can see it was a couple of months between the engine mods and the remap, what was the bhp on the base run prior to the uprev?

I'm not really to sure, that's the only information i got that was on the sheet and never really thought to ask. Although it does show 2 dyno results which includes a 'base run' which was 293bhp. I don't know if that's it or not :lol:

Looks nice with them wheels on mate, I have noticed your rear bumper & boot have been resprayed & hasn't had it blended in down the side so looks 2 shades of blue now & other parts are different shades of blue from respraying but no blending! Get a full respray next to sort it out bud

yeah definetley, each panel is a different color and theres so many small scratches and a small dent aswell that needs sorting. my dad also cracked my front so that's a completely different shade haha! if I'm ever able to afford one I will do :lol:

So me and my dad (as im not very mechanically minded unlike him) got round to fitting my exhaust and w brace, what a task...we soon removed the old exhaust which looked like it had seen it fair share of modifying as the flexis had been removed, the majority of the centre section was welded together and the tips and backbox had been welded aswell. The w brace was an absolute mess, i have no idea how it passed an MOT back in july! d11814818bcc956cf25e6059b4a3a7e9.jpg042d5ef3bc4e5d55df9d952f2432f95e.jpg13858e97f130ea33c9e23890f9a83e78.jpg2f4e222cb9ad3f85d9d0ac1577e254bc.jpgThis was the easy part...

Ive read up about replica exhausts and people have said the fitting isnt the best which is what i was expecting. After a bit of deciding where everything went we noticed where the two pipes went either side of the diff it wasnt wide enough even after we removed the plastic cover. We fitted the y pipe and hung the back boxes on and there was a rather big gap between the backboxes and mid part f667f39196d3121308f0d6ce3d8f8968.jpg4d34f381171f6799e09c572769f83381.jpg so after alot of pulling and messing around we eventually got it bolted together (just) then we had a look at the tips and they were both completley out of line. After another hour of trying to get them to sit right we sort of got them to, the right one sits higher than the left but with the burnt tips and it being low down its quite hard to notice. Altogether i think it took us about 3/4 hours and a lot of modifying and trying to bend it to fit. I know i probably should of sent it back etc. But id waited a month or so for it to arrive and my old one was falling apart. If had the choice i would of definitley of spent a bit more and got a well known one instead. With it being from torqen and not ebay i didnt think it would of been this bad of a fit but anyway, we live and learn from our mistakes. 84b6d354ca6932a53daa3104fb768de4.jpgd4065d649ceee2d4724214efeeb60fdc.jpga9776562a625f31aa42cbcd67d638145.jpg

As for noise, its quite loud. I have unsilenced decats aswell so it does make quite a racket. It does sound good at high revs but just trying to cruise around town (around 2-3k) it sounds abit to boy racerish if that makes any sense. Ill attach a quick video of it revving and a quick flyby but as i think it sounds alot louder and different in person. https://vimeo.com/150595533
