NeilMH
Just came across this today (form many years ago). Me and my son on the Brooklands Banking. For what it's worth we are in the middle. Naturally I stood on the high side so I could appear nearly as tall as him Anyway the thing that always strikes me about Brooklands is how steep the banking is and the madness of driving round in the early part of the last century at speeds of over 100mph with no seat belts, no guard rails and a cockpit full of lethal bits and tyres as skinny as a hungry stick insect. Let alone how rough the surface would have been.
Ekona
No-one can possibly realise how steep that banking is, until you see it in person.
NeilMH
No-one can possibly realise how steep that banking is, until you see it in person. You're spot on there. It doesn't really show in the photo but as you walk nearer the top it's actually pretty difficult to remain on your feet.
