Apex
Anyone got any experience with these on their Pre-Facelift for main beam conversion? Looking for recommendations for a good quality kit at a "sensible" price. The price range of kits is vast so any recommendations / feedback would be appreciated
Jazz
Good question this. Would be interesting to see what people are using as tried and tested kits.
Bigjimg
Having fitted many Hid kits to cars over the past 10 years all I can say is I have found that the ones of Ebay are as good as any. In all the installs I have done there has only been 1 ballast failure and 1 bulb failure. I always use the 35w slim ballast type these days and have a set waiting to put into the Z main beam, weather is against me just now though. A couple of times the polarity on the connections to the car looms have been the wrong way round but that is easily fixed. I find that 6000k gives the best light. Got this waiting to go in mine. http://www.ebay.co.u...oMAAOSw14xWJahN Might also add while I am doing the job will be upgrading the dipped beam bulbs to 6000k as the OEM are 4300k Edited December 2, 2015 by Bigjimg
Apex
Thanks Bigjimg exactly the info I was looking for Do you know if there is room to mount the ballasts under the head lamp cluster or will they be mounted to the inner wings? Bigjimg
Apex, don't know as yet have not had time or weather to look at a mounting point for the ballasts. Should not be a big problem with slim ballasts though.
