wanta350
Hello Everyone, if I wanted a nismo kitted z am I better off with: a. cheap import z, buy new kit and cool 18" GT4 alloys and get it fitted. (anyone know how much it would cost to buy the kit and get it fitted....??) b. buy one that already has the kit on and the alloys..... Which would be the cheapest way? Ideally I would like a metallic grey one!!
Sarnie
If your gonna fit the Nismo kit, don't buy the GT4 alloys. You will need 19's at least to fill the arches, I know I did
Trev-the-Rev
It's usually less expensive to buy with the work already done and let the last owner take the hit on depreciation
Sarnie
It's usually less expensive to buy with the work already done and let the last owner take the hit on depreciation Thats what I did with the UY. Pricing up a set of decent 19's, tyres, genuine nismo kit, painting and fitting you would do well to get change out of £5-6k. Once you spend that on a car, you've lost most of it, so I sold mine used that money to buy a nearly brand new one with the kit already fitted
wanta350
hmmm... so the best option is to buy one with the kit on, flog the usual 18" alloys that come with it and get 19"..... sarnie, you talking about those killer black ones you had? Sarnie
sarnie, you talking about those killer black ones you had? wanta350
maybe just stick with 18" GT4s then, with that price tag.....
martinmac
Shop around bud, plenty of wheels for sale so just live with what they have for a while. Chances are if you find one with a bodykit they may have been upgraded anyway
Sarnie
maybe just stick with 18" GT4s then, with that price tag..... IIRC GT4's are circa £700 a rim plus tyres brand new Of course there are lots of other choices out there for less $$$ Bigphil sells 19 inch Nismos with tyres fro £1700

GIXXERUK
sarnie is right mate, the zed with the nismo increases the panel size and drowns 18's you need big rims with the nismo kit to proportion the car, if you cant afford both then just get the rims imo

H5
you've got a gunmetal one now...havn't you? not tempted to get the kit and then into the bodyshop then? Yep. Nope. It will be about £3-4k by the time kit is obtained, and fitted, finished and painted. And there is no way it will add that to value, so if I can find one with it on and I spend a bit more to get it, I would be happier.
wanta350
by that response then... The best way forward is to buy one with the kit off someone and then upgrade the wheels if need be!! Cheers
