DarmoZ
Wheels getting refurb, then base painted and hydro dipped. Need help deciding on the base paint and film, I want to stand out and be unique, so couple combinations I have in mind so far are: 1:) Smoked Grey / Anthracite base with Galaxy film: https://dipthis.co.uk/shop/galaxy/ 2:) Green base with Royal Graffiti: https://dipthis.co.uk/shop/royal-graffiti-2/ or with: Cash Cow: https://dipthis.co.uk/shop/cash-cow/ 3:) White base with Polka Dots lol: https://dipthis.co.uk/shop/polka-dot-4/ Open to suggestions and opinions Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DarmoZ
FYI currently they look like this not sure what the base color is but the film is Royal Graffiti: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Payco
Sorry pal.All of the above just don't do it for me but will be interested in seeing what you end up with.
DarmoZ
Lol I know they are a bit 'out there' too many options! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jay Kay
Just don't get them powder coated. Paint, not powder
Jetpilot
I presume I know what the answer is, but there is nothing at all wrong with powder coat, 1000's and 1000's of wheels are powdercoated P.s all the above look absolutely gash and by far the most chavtastic thing i have ever seen, but its your car, your choice Edited November 17, 2015 by Jetpilot
zebedy
Go wild. May as well. Its your car, do as you wish. I like the first one.
GMballistic
I can't say any of those do it for me either just like Payco. Plenty more choices though here if you do decide to do something different from the ones above; https://www.aquagraphix.co.uk/product-category/film/
DarmoZ
It will be paint not powder. I've seen the horror stories of powder coat process on GT4 alloys hmm different was my aim but not chavy, will have a re-think. Thanks for the link Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hell presidente
I like them and I'm definitely not a chav, that just seems to be the 'go to' response for beige people.
Jetpilot
Far from beige, I would say my last 350 was testament to that
Hell presidente
Far from beige, I would say my last 350 was testament to that A pic would help I see chav get bounded about a lot though for stuff that really isn't, just a bit different. DarmoZ
Well the last two days Iv had the standard 350z non ray alloys back on the car, and I must admit Silver ain't bad on this car. Now starting to think Hyper Silver with Royal Graffiti. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DarmoZ
Hahaha my GF actually got excited at that idea, but I think I'll pass lol. After some research I discovered Royal Graffiti comes in a Silver and will look awseom on a dark base like gloss black. Here is what it looks like on different colors (Google image find) I think the silver will really stand out on a dark wheel, and the silver also matches the car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DarmoZ
Here it is: Silver on Black Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Payco
Rims either make or break a cars look in my view or at least play a major part so you need to get it right whatever your taste is.
Ricey
For me.....on a show car or at least a car you're going to take to shows.....royal graffiti works. Everyday road car your going need to be a serious baller to pull it off. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

ZEUS
They have been really well done, weather it's to my taste or not .....well that doesn't really matter
Ricey
For me this mod actually is the core of modding.......It absolutely divides opinion. Dipped wheels can look garbage.....I have dipped wheels and they look garbage. But that's because the only film I had lying around when tarting my car up was a crappy carbon. I'm genuinely blow away by these. They look very classy. It's real easy to go very chav with wheels especially when hydrodipping. That said someone else will hate them......which is essentially the perfect mod Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
BobbyZ
They look kinda cool as a piece of artwork, but I wouldn't put them on a car in a million years. To each their own though, as many have said already
