mattross1313
Dropped the car off this morning at The Wheel Specialists for some last minute JAE prep. The wheels have been a little tatty with the odd curb mark since I bought the car. So after months of test wheels and colours today is THE day. I am sticking the with the 19" Rays as opposed to aftermarket, as I love the style of them! Hoping to pick the car up later this afternoon

mattross1313
Sounds like you are enjoying the 370 Yep still happy, and still chuckle on down shift! I thought it would have worn off by now.....no chance Nice looking car Matt. Nice looking avatar Sarg! Yeah, still running the 453's. Got around 2.5k on them now and they are great in all conditions. I don't really push the car too hard so can't comment when you are really pressing on. The road noise is slightly reduced compared to the 050a's but I was hoping for a better reduction. A winter job may be to improve the sound deadening in the boot area.

mattross1313
Picked the car up late this afternoon from the guys at The Wheel Specialist. We started with Sepang Bronze and tried a few different mixes and finished, ended up going for straight forward Sepang with matt lacquer. The colour is a little darker than I was expecting but I think its great. Colour aside the refurb is second to none, the wheels look brand new!! After JAE I'll look to remove the 'silver' from the car as the door handles now stick out somewhat! So I'll attack the car with Gloss black (Door handles, side indicators, Z badges etc). I may even try the front fangs in black, I originally wasn't going to but think it could work well with the darker wheels. I'll no doubt have some much better pictures from JAE this weekend, but here are a few quick car park pictures to show the colour.
Robchriscross
Looks great is it possible to get spacers done at the same time? Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

mattross1313
Looks great is it possible to get spacers done at the same time? Hi Rob, The guys should be more than able to sort the spacer colour at at the same time. I was in some what of a rush do didn't get them done this time, but may have a go at home as I have the paint code. Just need to be careful not to paint the mating face of the spacer - I have read that powder coat or paint on the mounting faces can sometimes cause issues as the wheel might not sit at the right angle. mattross1313
Cheers Bobster! Gave the car a good clean today ready for JAE tomorrow. Also finally fitted my new gear knob, Alcantara gaiter, and Alcantara knee pads
mattross1313
Couple of quick alcantara pictures! Really pleased with this, and well worth the wait - I've had the kneepads at my desk for months now waiting to sort out the gaiter. The material match is excellent with the rest of the Alcantara interior. Took this quick pic whilst cleaning the car yesterday too, amused me! Every few weeks I pick off the fraying bits of plastic from the front lip. This is the most recent bit. Hopefully soon the front lip will wear down and stop hitting on things

Sarg
You will probably struggle to sell it with that ark exhaust on so I would be very happy to take it off your hands Edited October 26, 2016 by Sarg

mattross1313
Right, Update time!! I've been trying to keep this quiet (and failing somewhat) until collection day....which is today!! I had the opportunity to get a MY17 Nismo at a very good price if oredered before Christmas. This led to the sudden sale of the LMB '70 which I was still enjoying and didn't plan to sell, but with the chance of getting a Nismo on the driveway decisions had to be made. There were a few frustrations in early Jan during prep, but everything has been sorted now and I collected Gizmo from the dealership this morning. It is still VERY early days but I am chuffed to bits with the upgrade. The styling of the MKII, seats (oh the seats!!), small touches here and there make such a big difference! I'm going to run the car in for 1,500 miles (cap at 4kRPM), then get things checked over. So, 6 days into my ownership I figured it was time to make a start and get the first mod ordered. ^This was my comment earlier in the thread not long after getting the LMB '70. I have beaten my own 6 day record this time - the car was modified even before it was registered! More on that to follow. Here some pics to get things going, now I'm off outside to sit in it

Scooby67
Congratulations on the purchase! Same as mine how come your Nismo has the front wheel arch extensions missing? or is that something they've taken off the new 17 model year?
