For any one else wanting to do the same the thread is M12x1.5 I did this a few months ago after messaging abbey, since found I had high temps on track (no cooler so no surprise). Since got in touch with opie oils and they recommend always measuring the bulk oil temp which would be from the sump. I'm now a bit torn as I understand both sides - Nissan measure at this port which is I imagine is always going to be a hotter temp due to being a return gallery. Whereas the oil specialist (as well as other sites I've seen) say the bulk oil is more consistent and therefore accurate to measure from..
