Rocky4510 Posted October 25, 2015 Share Posted October 25, 2015 As the title says, I'm respraying my bumper (aftermarket nismo v2 style I think, so it's made out of fibreglass not like the original plastic) what's the ideal primer to use to get the original orange colour? Ricey Posted October 25, 2015 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Rattle can will be a disaster. You need a HVLP gun, unless you are filling any damage you only need to scotch the hell out of the panel. Primer isn't required. If you sand through to the panel anywhere then you'll need to flick a bit of primer over it. Normal grey primer will be ok but don't use acrylic. Get the paint mixed by a decent paint shop. You'll need about a quarter litre. Chances are it'll still look different......zed paint is a bugger to get to sit right especially between plastic and metal panels. That's why you often have to blend out into the wings and bonnet which makes it a very expensive job. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
