Rich260
I brought this car about 4 weeks ago, I rely wanted a UK spec model but after doing a fair bit of research I wasn't overly put off by an import providing it had the right option boxes ticked I.e brembos and leather! So this is how she looked when I picked her up. Nice enough, but the eagle eye readers may spot the very understated 20" wheels! Aesthetically I think they look Ok but to be honest, it handled like a tram on the drive back from Southampton so I knew they were going to have to go. Also the service history on the car is a little vague so curtesy of Cougar Store, I replaced, the engine oil, filter, gear box oil (added Molly slip), diff oil, spark plugs and aux belts. So this is how she looks now. I've put the Rays back on, (cheers Busta!) and what a difference it's made to how the car drives. The current mod list is as follows: Engine: Motordyne plenum spacer Ingen CAI (cone filter that sits in front of the rad) Uprev reflash Exhaust: Abbey Motorsport de-cats Motordyne XYZ with race cat Toyo sport SS back box Suspension: Bogo standardo Body: Tarmac Mines style front lip (x2 as I broke the first one) Tarmac side diffuser plates Tarmac nismo style rear spats (being painted shortly) Zunsport black front grill (not yet fitted) Interior: Painted centre consol Blox Platinum type-R shifter (on order) Next thing on my ever growing list is to bring her down a bit, probably going to go with springs to start off with but il have to give my wallet a break as it's taken a bit of a battering recently! Thanks for looking, Rich. Edited September 29, 2017 by Rich260
Sargara
Interesting spoiler, I wonder if its a genuine Blitz or an eBay replica? Nice bonus that you don't appear to have mentioned yet

Rich260
Interesting spoiler, I wonder if its a genuine Blitz or an eBay replica? Nice bonus that you don't appear to have mentioned yet I was under the impression it was just a JDM spec spoiler? Can't see any part numbers on it so I'm not sure. It's on my list of things to change, I would love a TS Strosek style rear spoiler but I'll need to fit a UK spec spoiler to make that work. Arran
Love the ducktail spoiler and front splitter, always wanted them on mine combined with a HR bonnet. Looking good rich, I'm sure it will be modified a lot in a short space of time Looking forward to seeing the progress and the upcoming mods

Richie94gts
Were the wheel's original veilside ones? They'd look amazing with the right kit! Looking sweet though.
Rich260
Were the wheel's original veilside ones? They'd look amazing with the right kit! Looking sweet though. Sadly not! They are made by Ace alloys. Don't get me wrong, they would look awesome on the right car and with 20mm spacers the sizing/offsets is perfect for the Z. They are totally mint to as the previous owener had them refurbished to help sell the car. I will be putting them up for sale shortly and quite cheep as they are taking up a lot of room in my very small shed! Rich260
So strictly speaking it's nothing to do with my Z but my boss had one of his cars in the office today and it's a total beauty. It's a lola T70 coupe, 1953 (I think) with a small block chevey producing around 600bhp, which isn't bad when the car weighs under 750kg depending on who's sitting in it!

Rich260
So another small update today. I've taken the front bumper off in preperation for fitting Arran's old oil cooler tomorrow. Having read his build thread (highly recommended) I was rely impressed in how much detail and care he put in to his car so I know it will be a top piece of kit It's just a shame he has now defected to the dark side of BMW! While the fronts off I'm going to fit the zunsport grill. My front is missing one of the plastic trim pieces you would normally screw the zunsport to as the ingen intake sits where it would normally be. And because everyone loves a bit of beading
Rich260
Zunsport fitted properly. I'm in two minds about removing the nissan badge and smoothing it over or not. I wonder if it will look a bit daft on the original bumper? Oil cooler and gauge all fitted and working correctly. At the moment I have it wired up to be blue during the day and red at night (goes red when I put the head lights on) though I may ditch the blue as it doesn't match any thing else in the car! Stuggerz
Nice. i live in southampton and did see that Zed a few times. The old rims looked amazing whilst rolling. But can imagine it was hard work to turn lol. Looks 100% better now. Good job

Rich260
Managed to get out with my mate at the weekend in his e46 m3. On the straights he could pull away from me..... Just! In the bends it was all about the Z though Some pics: Edited November 6, 2015 by Rich260

Rich260
Had a go at polishing my plenum today, not quite as good as the pros but it's come up ok. Also took the opportunity to give the inside of the plenum a good going over.
