Sargara
Just looking for some advise on this really and if its common or not? I had Black Diamond discs fitted to the car about 6 weeks ago now and they are already covered with rust on the center hub section: Its only surface rust of course but on something so new and on this scale... I was expecting them to stay black like the name suggests! Has anyone else's done the same?
Ekona
Very common, every BD disc I've ever had has done that. Time to grab the black Hammerite!
Sargara
Damn. If id have known/checked I could have saved myself and job and done it at the same time this afternoon! I was just surprised to see them in that state already
Chris Wiltshire
Same here, mine actually arrived with horrible grey paint over them which is noticeable but BD replied saying that they would never leave the factory like it... Won't use them again.
evilscorp
One of the cheaper discs on the market, do the job but I would expect much more.
ZMANALEX
The cheaper the disc, the quicker they appear to rust. When applying Hammerite, best to keep the face where the wheel or spacer marries up to paint free or you will eventually get DTV.
SpitfireSteve
mines are quite bad so whats the remedy? surely not hammerite is it that simple?
flyboy
The discs will wear out before they rust to pieces. Its only cosmetic so yes its that simple.
