Lexx
Hello! I'm currently driving a slightly modded RX8 (pics included cos Im proud of her!), but Im looking for a change. 3 years ago when I was buying the Rex, I did consider the 350, and now 3 years later Im back at looking at them. Basically, what major issues should I be looking for when buying? What Economy can I expect? I know what the official stats are, but we all know they're a load of bollox. Any other help and advice always welcome! Cheers Al

Zummertor
Welcome ! Nice looking Rex, kind of PZ without the numbing suspension. My opinion is GT pack is required. look for clumsy feet that can scuff door panel, earlier leather can get denim stud tears, check tyres are right type (tends to show owner understood what they had), not suer how to check how thrashed or tracked a car has been, London cars tend to have more dents in panels than most although dent specialists are £25-50 per panel to remove. Enjoy, you'll like the access to quicker power, but may find the dash of a lesser finish, but then you'll be watching the road more

Sarnie
One of my neighbours has a PZ thingy. Lets just say he was in awe of my UY GT4 Yours looks a nicely fettled example My last zed averaged at 24.2 mpg across 16,000 miles and not one drop of oil needed
xStric9x
Welcome bud, Good look in your hunting and don't always think a gt is better than a non gt. Leather quality is pants and for £500 quid you could get a non gt re-upholstered to your own unique taste. Bose system isn't cracked up to what you think. And i've never used cruise control in any car i've owned.
bronzee
What Economy can I expect? Welcome Al. What year 350 are you thinking about, each have their own little quirks. Hehe, you don't often hear economy and 350 mentioned in the same sentence. They're generally a lot of fun to drive, focus on that. In all seriousness, they're not too uneconomical for a reasonable sized V6. It all depends what your driving style is like.
neo
a while ago i managed 32.6 mph(think it was) on A/B roads, was driving like a OAP tho as i was nearly outta fuel and didn't know where a petrol station was Welcome by the way
H5
Welcome to the site! I have got 25-26 average out of mine, from commuting, long runs and spirited progression to my next destination, all included!
satsuma71
Welcome matey. Mine averages about 26 when driving mixed style of fun and town, in FUN mode, expect about 16 SATS
Trev-the-Rev
Hi and I average about 24 mpg on a mix of A roads, country lanes and motorway.
Lexx
Thanks for the welcomes, and a thank you to Gixxer for the PM with all the issues to look for. Im gunna be looking for 06/56 plate coupe (rag tops are not a great idea where I live!). As for economy, it was more outta curiousity I was asking. If I wanted eco cars, I deffo wouldnt have kept an RX8 for 3 years! I test drove a 350 3 years ago when they first came out, but Ive forgotten that experiance, so Im now tryin to sort out a test drive. Unfortunatly my nearest dealer is ran by a bunch of muppets and I wouldnt buy a car from them ever. Oh, and for the record, my Rex ain't a PZ thingy. Hehe, it was bought as a standard 230, and all th emods done myself....Custom cat-back, Ultralite Hikari Alloys, CTD rear spoiler, Hymee Short Shifter, and other little tweaks here and there. The hunt continues!

rmmackfc
Welcome aboard mate Fuel economy will be better than the RX8 I would say. 24MPG was what mine used to sit on... those were the days of fuel efficiency

MarkW
Lexx I had one of the first RX8s back in 2003 for 2 years. Had my Zed now for 18 months and whilst they are both good cars, the Zed definately floats my boat more I used to average around 18-19 mpg in the RX8 on my normal driving routes, in the Zed I average 22-23mpg so its a little better than the RX8 on fuel for me. Its more telling on long journeys though, as around 80/85 mph I can get 30+ mpg out of the Z, never got more that 25 out of the Mazda. If you dont need the back seats, the Zed is definately the car to have
nixy
Hi there and welcome. My computer currently says 8.5 km per litre - I don't know what that is in miles per gallon and I don't want to know either!
