H5
I've got a few bits of Alpine audio equipment for sale. The Zed is having some work and I am experimenting with something else. A brand new multimedia manager from Alpine, part of their current line up, that I never got round to putting in my last competition car. Hence, this is up for sale. Please note, this is the box that does AND the box that controls. Part numbers are:- Alpine PXA H701 multimedia manager - http://www.alpine-electronics.co.uk/ind ... d=pxa-h701 Alpine RUX C701 controller - http://www.alpine-electronics.co.uk/ind ... d=rux-c701 These are top pieces of kit, that manage all aspects of your system, and can fine tune sound to deliver trophy winning sound if needs be! Combined retail price of over £700. Sensible offers please.... Also for sale is my old competition head unit, an Alpine CDA 7998R. This has exceptional CD playing ability, and helped me to several trophies. This is in great condition. http://www.dealdigital.co.uk/contentite ... ntid=42921 http://www.carreview.com/mfr/alpine/cd- ... 61crx.aspx (Just to give a view of looks when the face is out, and the comments about the quality of the unit). Retail price of £900 when new. Again, am open to offers. I also have available a 6 CD multichanger to go with this - http://www.alpine-electronics.co.uk/ind ... d=cha-s634 - yet more offers! H5
Sorry! OK - 7998R - CD player, no amp built in so you will need external amp to run. Designed to play a CD as well as possible basically. Also has an EQ and other toys built in. The H701 set-up, is an EQ for sound, but also does a whole host of other bits and bobs if you run other Alpine equipment. Allows things like Dolby 5.1 and DTS formats to be played as intended if you have a DVD player in the car. Used together, you can basically set the sound up in your car to be exactly as you want it. I won trophies with the headunit when I used to compete. That help? Will tidy original post too!

Compete at what?? I used to compete in national car audio competitions for sound quality. I had an install that got interrogated for safety, design, finish, and most importantly, sound. So a range of music was listened to, from classic, to rock, to jazz, and the system should do certain things. It gets quite detailed, but it shows your ears what they're missing!
