Rich260
After being inspired by some of the great interior's I saw at the Ace cafe meet I thought I'd give mine a refresh. I sanded down the textured finish of the centre console and gave it a coat of paint.

Rich260
Thank's I'm very happy with it. I think once all the other parts are done it'll look spot on. I sanded it down with 80 grit sand paper to remove the texture then worked my way up to 800 to leave a smooth finish. Applied 3 coats for plastic primer Flattened off with a wet sand. Applied 3 coats of paint (bmw sparkling graphite to main and nissan black to the pods) Applied 3 roughly 3 coats of lacquer. Quite a time consuming job but I would say well worth the effort. Easy enough for a DIY if you have experience with spray cans

Vlad
Did you use cans or spray gun mate? Any info on what brands you've used? (Primer, paint, lacquer). As thinking to spray some bits in the near future

niz
massive improvement! well done  You didn't happen to come up with a way to make the cubby hole lid less floppy?
Rich260
Haha no, it's still quite floppy! I sprayed he runners with some silicone sprays and it opens and and close's better than it did but it still feels a little cheep!
Ricey
For the love of God if you use silicone sprays do it AFTER you paint. Death destruction and pain will ensue if you don't. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
