Alex350z
Just a quick one... When in neutral if i rev the engine there is a slight high pitch scream sort of noise (its hard to explain, sort of like a whine). If i press the clutch down and rev the engine there is no whining noise and all sounds normal. Its the original clutch and the cars done 100k. Could it be the clutch bearing whining? S7nny
Sounds like the release bearing is on its way out, to me. But I'm not what you'd call mechanically gifted...

glrnet
100k on the original clutch? Time for a new clutch and flywheel, box will have to come off for the release bearing or spigot bush anyway **edit** Make sure, whovwr does the work that they replace the spigot bush, I think some kits don't include it.
