Zeezeebaba
I think my key fob requires a new battery. After the car is left standing for over 12 hours the drivers door opens ok but a second press fails to engage the passenger door opening. Either that or the door lock mechanism is sticking. After a short drive it works fine. Unlikely to be the main car battery as it's fairly new. Also each time it's happened the car has been left standing in the rain so that may also be a factor. Two questions please. 1) What's the best place to lubricate the locking mechanism for maximum affect? 2)As in the title, what size battery is required for the remote? I'm assuming here the remote doesn't charge itself whilst in the ignition, I've owned a few cars that do this. Shenley
^^^ As above, but use a known brand and not something from a 'pound shop', they cause problems.
