Box drum tuning advice?

Hey

Just wondered if anyone had experience of tuning a box drum? I've tried following a YouTube guide but can't seem to get it sounding right :( If I play it with the base of my heel in the middle of the drum the sound is pretty close, making me think the strings are still too loose but no matter how I tighten the screws it doesn't seem to get there.

Any advice please?
