Jay Kay
Want to change my front pads and disc on my 07 Zed - despite it only having covered 19k miles, there is some judder from what I assume are warped discs. On eurocarparts website they are quoting pads at £28 for pagid or £50 for Ferrodo Discs are £65 for Pagid yet £360 for Brembo! Has anyone tried Pagid? I'm sure they will be fine and I wont be tracking the car, but they seem very cheap Any feedback? Cheers Jamie
docwra
First up - discs dont warp, they can get deposits which is usually what the juddering and shaking are all about. The 350Z Brembo discs are good, Id just get them skimmed and see if it sorts the problem out. On pads, it depends what you want them to do. I did a lot of track work in my Zed so wanted the best, but the best are also the most expensive. If youre just doing road work then pretty much anything will do the job, Id personally recommend Ferodo DS2500 but its up to you. The Pagids you are looking at will be OE equivalent, hence why they are a lot cheaper than a Pagid RS29 for instance
Adrian@TORQEN
^ + 1 But you if you want an upgrade, have a look at this deal: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/100413-torqen-deal-alert-350z-hawk-pads-stoptech-discs-combo/ Adrian
Jay Kay
I won't be doing any hard work to be honest, just want to ensure it is at least is good as when it was new. There is a reasonable amount of build up on the inner disk surface and I thought about skimming but I believe that costs around £40 per disk and I can get brand new Pagids for less. If the Pagids are as good as stock brembo discs then I figured that is the best option. Thanks for the message Adrian, I did take a look at that the other day but it a a bit overkill for my needs
