Previous owner Added aftermarket JVC head unit, and subwoofer not working?

The previous owner had put in this JVC head unit, and the Bose subwoofer has stopped working.

 

I have recently come to the understanding that an adapter is needed at the back, so that the subwoofer can work?

 

Is this right and does anybody know what the correct adapter is correct for the job?

If I remember correctly you need a PAC-ROEM kit. I think the one I bought was the NIS2 model. Do a quick google search for it and you'll see what I mean.

Can you use the steering controls with that pack?

This is what i bought for my head unit upgrade, steering controls still work and all speakers work also.

Before buying a lead though have you taken the head unit out and seen what the previous owner has done? May just be a faulty connection or damaged cable somewhere
