OBD 2 advice

Appatently the cheap elm units have a high failure rate, would be good to test side to side with someone with a working unit. I did manage to get my original blue elm working on my daily driver Toyota but had to enter a special protocol I found on the internet by chance.

I have a cheapy blue mini one off ebay. Didnt work on my '03 jdm with torque or various other suggested programs but did work with Nissan Datascan II, (not I or III!) So for me it was much more to do with the program than the sender.

It connects to torque, but wont connect to the ecu.

Mine keeps doing this with a number of devices I have tried. None of them connect to the ECU and the Bluetooth signal keeps dropping.

I bought this, works a treat :)

I may take a punt on this, hopefully will work on mine as it seems like you experienced similar problems to me with the cheapy ELM's. If it doesn't work I give up :surrender:
