gumpy000
Has any of you used or got any recommendations for sound deadening the zed doors? DIY alternatives. I think dynamat seems rather expensive. Didn't know if any of you used anything from say B&Q or Wicks? Also what part of the door do I need to do? The skin behind door panels? Or bit in between that and outer skin? If outer, has any one got images how to get to it? Cheers

veeg33
B&Q flooring underlays with silver foil seems to be a good cheap alternative. Around £25 for a roll I think, it should be more than enough. Edited August 23, 2015 by veeg33
veilside z
Take the speaker out of the door and Dynamat the outer door skin through the hole, replace speaker. You can attach it to the rear of door card too around speaker grille area. Removal of door card is easy starting with armrest, fixture hidden in inner door handle, and pop clips/ fixings lower door. I'm sure somebody has a proper link to this.
gumpy000
So between door card and door? I did see that today. Think Il try it. Unless someone comes up with another.
Wasso
Where you can, also apply sound deadening to the inside of the outer door skin behind the speaker itself. Don't skimp on sound deadening. It makes a huge improvement. There are other brands that are cheaper. But the famous saying you get what you pay for. I spent about £130 to do the entire car. Even if you're not doing ICE, the sound deadening makes the car feel more grown up, less road noise!
Syecadelic
bit of a revival.. Where you can, also apply sound deadening to the inside of the outer door skin behind the speaker itself.... Can you remember how much quantity you required to do the whole sound proofing, 2 sqaure metres, 4 etc ?
