Ekona
I'm not using octane booster to get more power. I'm.getting it because it may be essential if I cont get super unleaded fuel Sent from my KFTHWI using Tapatalk That's the thing, on a 370 it's not essential to use 97+ at all. You can use 95 all year round if you like, aside from a smidge of lost power nothing drastic would happen. It's the DE engined 350 that desperately needs 97+.
Bodyboarder81
What about a standard HR 350z ?
AMT
I think I read a post a while back that the 350Z HR only!... was able to compensate for lower Ron, but still advisable to use the super stuff. I've never tried and hopefully will never have to but it would be good to know it could for a very very short period lol
jimboy2
I have also heard it's fine to run on lower grade stuff in the HR. Wouldn't ever bother as V power and momentum is readily available where ever I'm going. (To the shop and back lol)

ukstang
Mine says 98 on the tank lid… why would the Austrian version be different from the UK?
Ekona
Don't think it is, doesn't the UK one say 98 as well? There's no real difference between BP97 and anything else branded 98 or over, they all have to go by the same BS number over here so will all be fine. Ricey
Tuned for 95 so use 95 pal. You won't lose any power by using 95 and you won't gain any by using 97. Pouring money down the drain using a higher rated fuel than you need

gstraw
That looks like the American brochure. They run lower grade fuel hence its cheaper. UK spec is definitely 98RON minimum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JetSet
I was told by someone That fuel company's achieve the Ron by adding adatives to otherwise normal fuel Don't know if that's crap or not I believe it's so. 'Jetset' is the one to ask. Basically yes. When I worked at the Stanlow Labs (Shell)donkeys years ago you achieved this by adding Tetra Ethyl Lead. This cheap and unsafe dirty method was abandoned in the 70's so the oil companies came up with alternative octane boosters. I've no idea what they actually use these days but iso-octane and toluene will certainly boost the octane rating. From what little I remember basic gasoline has an octane rating in the mid 80's BTW.
