ryanhavana
Evening! Posted in the introductions page so I thought I'd get a build thread up. Nothing much to report at this time apart from how much enjoyment this car is giving me. Couple of pictures from the advert; Managed to snap a few pictures before I took her into get a full wheel and caliper refurb along with a valet so she should be gleaming come Friday morning! Here she is at DCValets Providing everything goes okay with DCValets I should should have some nice pictures in the coming weekend! Plans for the next month or so(providing all goes swell); Fresh MOT, new front pads, minor service and one of a new exhaust system or a Nismo V2 FB. Thanks guys Edit: Bloody pictures are huge, will properly scale the others in the future! Edited August 19, 2015 by ryanhavana

veilside z
Welcome to Z world. Once the mods start, they won't end there
ryanhavana
So, my refurb was delayed due to the wheels being worse than first expected but DCValets have just sent me some pictures and I'm picking the car up at 8PM tonight! So in the mean time, here are some pics!
ryanhavana
So my stubby arrived yesterdat, courtesy of Adrian at Torqen. Much better Got the Z back with the freshly painted wheels but opted out of the caliper painting as they're not as bad as anticipated. They look awesome in person, really pleased with them. Service and fresh MOT next and then the plan is to pick up a V2 bumper in the coming weeks.
ryanhavana
Evening. Not much to report over the last few months. Clutch went something like 4 weeks after buying the Z so that set me a back a fair bit, had some trouble with the crankshaft sensor but it had appeared to fix itself after a few weeks too! I manage to pick up a carbon vent for the FB and installed that around 6 weeks ago, love it! And I picked up a GTR exhaust which I need to get fitted, although I'm tempted to try it myself (never welded a thing in my life!) to potentially save some pennies. Other than that I've detailed the Z once or twice but with winter well and truly upon us, my motivation to detail it is non existent. Also intend to pick up a V2 rep front bumper in the next month or so and get that sorted in January but we shall see. veilside z
Wheels look great buddy. Stubby was a must have option.
veilside z
The r35 wont be a straight fit buddy it needs chopping shorter in width, with new bends formed, followed by a tip of your choice. The r35 is a lot wider car than the Z. My son had his fitted earlier this year, the sound is awesome.

nowhereboy
My car had problems with the crankshaft sensor when my clutch was giving up too. I suspect it has something to do with that somehow. Had to get towed home after it threw a cel and wouldn't start. Problem went away after new clutch was fitted.
nowhereboy
Clean Z by the way!
ryanhavana
Thanks! I bought another sensor and that was worse than the original one, had the original put back in and it's been fine ever since.
ryanhavana
Small update, nothing really new to report. Changed the front discs and pads since the car had a mild-violent shaking at speed whilst braking. Was good for a month or so and now it seems to have come back. Assuming it's the rear's that need replacing now but I don't see how 2 discs could have been warped in 3 months :yuck: It's not even like I use the car for drifting, it's my daily so it's always driven sensibly! Bought some servicing stuff, oils, filters and picked up a slave cylinder as well, so those are on my to-do list! The best news of course; I bought some MonoPro's! After a bit of frustration from Driftworks, I originally ordered the Dualtech's, due to be in stock and shipped on the 8th of June. I emailed them on the 9th asking if they had dispatched them and they responded something along the lines of 'we've had our shipment but not enough to complete your order. We can offer you the MonoPro's for an additional £100.'. Not ideal as I've read that the MonoPro's can be a harsher ride but I jumped at the chance anyway. Can't wait to get them done and I still need to get my exhaust fabricated. Recent picture; Thanks!
ryanhavana
Another small update. Managed to put her in for a service and to get my coilovers fitted around 3 weeks ago. What a difference! The car handles better, the comfort is fine and the car sits a lot better too. Just need some spacers and thinner tires to fill the arches properly. The car had an MOT Saturday and she aced it, no advisories Then I took her to Cruise Culture and was fortunate enough to get on the stand with Team Osaka at the last minute! Managed to get a few pictures and I'm sure you'll all recognise the orange Z. Team Osaka won the 'Best Stand' award and I'm sure you can see why Edited August 29, 2016 by ryanhavana
