Ta * Has anyone got experience of fitting Tein Coilovers with EDFC? How easy are they to do and would I be stupid in undertaking the fitting myself? I'd like to think i'm pretty mechanically savvy. but don't want to strip the car down and then panic as I haven't attempted something like this before. Do I need specialist tools or expert assistance in setting them up?? If it's going to be too much of a job then I think I will get them done by a professional as it's quite a major problem if I balls it up! A lot depends on how adept you are with mechanicals it can be a bit daunting and to get the best out of them you do need to have them setup properly. Although I am interested in getting some tein springs but worried about clearing my wheels as dont want them to run on the arches. Have 10.5 at the rears by 19 with 285 x 30 tyres. They are 9.5x19 front and 10.5x19 rear your wheels sit the way they do because your car is not lowered My setup is far more aggressive than yours, but its lowered, and sits at the edge (does not stick out yes you will need the rear arches rolled Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tere Posted December 8, 2007 Share Posted December 8, 2007 Three hours for an install is about right -- did it right in my driveway. I also did brakes and rotors (StopTech) at the same time. The install is not difficult at all. The most challenging part is routing the wires for the EDFC. I dropped her about an inch all around. No problem with fender/wheel well clearances, even with much wider tires (245 front and 285 rear) and a fairly significant offset on the rear.
