gumpy000 Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Hi guys. Not best pleased with quality of oem speaker and really wanna upgrade. Has anyone got a diagram of how to rewire? Or how to best feed the wires. Also if I was to do this, what size speakers to I need and how do I wire this to the headunit? I have upgraded to the AVH-5500BT. CHEERS in advance. eddymon42 Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 NO! The original wiring is fine, but the original speakers and amp run off a different resistance to non-bose speakers. You'll either have to replace the stock amp and use the RCA pre outs, or rewire to the back of your HU instead of using the stock amp. Correct me if I am wrong please people? I want to improve the sound but don't want to go spending £££ I haven't got. How about when it comes to changing front speakers? Let's say I DID do it the correct way. How much would I be looking at?
