StevoD
erm might I suggest money ? amazon will make billions in advertising etc from this i dont think they will worry about spending a couple million
Mikey81
same stuff as before with without as much cut out of the show?
brillomaster
woot new top gear! or whatever its going to be called on amazon.... but everyone will refer to it as new top gear lol I predict it'll be downloaded even more times than Game of Thrones was
Jetpilot
I reckon they will chuck in some new features/concepts, keep it fresh However much i enjoyed the old format
brillomaster
ditch the SIARPC (unless its someone who can actually drive - the F1 drivers are fine) and scrap the heavily scripted forced humour bits, then carry on as before actually, with budgets going up, change the reasonably priced car for something with a bit more... bite. I suggest the new mustang, that's actually very reasonably priced! Edited July 30, 2015 by brillomaster
StevoD
i imagine it will be very a similar format to there DVD's they used to do or more topgear USA which didnt have a studio after the 3 or 4th season Edited July 30, 2015 by StevoD
brillomaster
more in the style of top gear USA would work for me, the studio section doesn't really add a great deal to the proceedings - the news and SIARPC I can do without.
veilside z
Should be interesting to watch. Same producer could be similar format.

Stutopia
They already use automated processes to deliver goods, makes sense to follow the same principle for their TV content 10 SAY SOMETHING EDGY 20 LAUGH IN UNISON 30 EXECUTE CARAVAN ROUTINE 3 WITH FIRE 40 LAUGH IN UNISON 50 GOTO 10 Hopefully they'll get more freedom and escape all the faff that comes from being seen as an extension of the BBC, and all the faux moral outrage that comes hand in hand with that. More like The Smoking Tyre podcast, less like old Top Gear.

STEVE K
Well, I do have Prime and at 79 per annum all in it is good value. Have followed JC' s career since he wrote for Fast Lane and cant wait for the next show from the three of them.
Paddy78
I thought I was going to have to get Netflix for this... thank you Amazon!!
Zeezeebaba
I had never heard of Amazon prime until reading this
coldel
I thought Amazon Prime was just fast delivery, had a quick look on the site and can now see they do movies etc and some shows - all looks very much the same lineup as Netflix which I already have (and have on Apple TV). Will be interesting to see how it does on its restricted audience vs Top Gear going out nationally.
Ekona
It'll make a huge amount of money for the three of them, and a lot of money for Amazon in the first year with people signing up for Prime to watch it. Come year two no-one will give a toss, and Amazon will end up selling the rights to various terrestrial TV stations to recoup their monies I suspect. coldel
I noticed there is a one month trial period on Amazon Prime, if its still running when these shows go out I wonder how many people will take that up
