WINKJ
When I bought the car, I received free servicing for the first 3 years. To be honest I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing as I am stuck with Nissan and not a specialist like CS. i'm scared.
Ekona
Meh, it's only servicing, I wouldn't worry about it.
Ebized
Helps if it is a HPC as I found the local Nissan dealer to me said their mechanics were not trained to do 370's (of which they sold few, if any). Kinda respected them for saying that and as we know the 370 is rather special . I was quite happy to travel an hour and half to get the warranty servicing done right. Mind you, after 3 years I used Kaizer for servicing and other specialist work and he was even further away but least it was nice to have two long drives

The G Man
I got this as well, nothing to worry about, ^^ what he said, routine. The place I use, send you a video after the service with any other faults they find, none found in my case.
350zroadsterGT
The nismo trained specialists in my dealership have been brilliant, always know what to look for and have had some great advice. car was in limp mode a few weeks ago and in the time I walked round to the service desk they had read the codes found the throttle potentiometer had failed and offered to have a new one fitted by next morning. They also upgrade and look after a number of heavily modded cars including a 1100hp gtr that they had done all the work to and loads of upgraded zeds. I've been very happy with them. WINKJ
ahh this is reassuring news! thanks all. I am sure it will be all fine then, touch wood!! I just have been scarred by them before.
spursmaddave
Surely if it's free servicing then you don't have to stick with it? Would be different if you paid £x for a deal but if it was throw in then for peace of mind go to someone you know and trust Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rabbitstew
I got this as well, nothing to worry about, ^^ what he said, routine. The place I use, send you a video after the service with any other faults they find, none found in my case. When my wife took her Juke for a service at Nissan Northampton they did the same which I thought was a really nice touch. The mechanic introduced himself and showed on the video that the brake pads were getting a bit low etc. Made a nice change from not being able to believe if the mechanic is being honest or just looking for extra work. On the other hand the last time I took my zed to Nissan (different dealer) to have an aux belt changed it was a nightmare. Gave the keys to the receptionist girl who then went outside, and drove my car around to the workshop. Nothing wrong with that, but it was a bit of a shock when I dont even let the wife drive my car to have what looked like a 17 year old typical receptionist drive off in my car. Then, once it was in the workshop the mechanic started the car up and kept rev`ing it like a nut case to hear the full benefit of the K1 exhaust system I had fitted. It was only when the Garage Manager saw me watching through the window and looking like I was about to kill someone, that he promptly shat himself and after much waving at the mechanic the manager finally got him to stop. Even though the car had been booked in for weeks, they didnt think about making sure they had the replacement belt ready and then had to drive over to their parts warehouse to get the belt, then fit it etc... In the end it took them about 90minutes and cost me £100. The next time the belt went, I bought one myself (£15) and fitted it in less than 10 minutes..... ive not been back to Nissan since! Still, a service on a zed is pretty easy & basic and even the YTS lad should be able to do it...... hopefully!

That's why I would use my 'free' servicing there, rather than have a true 'free' service plan where I could use someone 'I trusted'. I used RS Tuning in Leeds a few years back for an UpRev, they were recommended and trusted by the people who recommended, they left me with the pedestrian warning light on after the tune, and didn't have the up to date tech to fix it! So much for my trust in them! I took it to someone I trusted to have it reset, Infinity at Braehead. I think it's all down to luck whoever you use, but you can slightly mitigate against bad luck by using the garage with the most up to date knowledge and equipment to deal with whatever marque you have. I bet it went ok Wink?

WINKJ
Thanks for all the comments guys. Went really well, was in and out in just under 2 hours which was great and they even commented on how well the Z is kept. As I was pulling out I was also chased by a heavily modified s2000 with what only can be described as a hurricane of a turbo, I could hear it from some distance and it moved, very quickly. All in all, happy with the service, all be it was a minor one ... But that's not the point! Edited July 31, 2015 by WINKJ
Ekona
Isn't it? You got a service, for free (or at least not that you'd notice since it was included in the cost of the car). That sounds like a result to me.

However I didn't get one of thee fancy videos people keep telling me about!

Ekona
Just a thought, and a bit late now, but next time just haggle the cost of three services from the price and go elsewhere. Or don't give them your money in the first place
Dynamic Turtle
Whatever you do avoid Mill Hill Nissan. Dreadful Nismo P1 service and never going back there. Took five hours and their car wash guy scratched the paintowork all over the rear arches. Furious.

I never let the guys wash the car, they just blast it with a jet wash, no double bucket technique or anything... Terrible. All in all I was happy, took just under 2 hours
