The G Man
After a fantastic trip, ate and drank like kings and queens, saw some of the most awe inspiring scenery and sights so far, in any of my adventures in Europe. 2250 miles, 7 fill ups, probably around £4K in total spent, at least a stone heavier (I've always wanted to be as big as a prop), some great hotels, poignant moments (Mook WW2 cemetery just outside Nijmegen, one of the graves a Private Lover, 19 years old, probably only knew fighting before he could be a lover ), generous, courteous people in all of the countries we visited. Muzzer has a few war wounds, small pea size dent in the bonnet, stone chips etc, more brake dust on a set of wheels than I've ever seen, front caked in insects, 23deg in Italy, wine to die for, pizza to die for, Bratwurst to die for, Weiner Schnitzel to die for, Apple Stroodle to die for, great beer, fantastic roads. Got the opportunity to do 145mph+ for relatively long stretches (was still overtaken by what seemed every Merc/BMW/Audi , well not quite). Completely knackered, what a holiday. Mrs loved the comfort of the Muzzer, I loved the comfort of the Muzzer, smooth as butter at speed, well behaved and capable on the mountain passes, sat nag - once I got to grips with it, was impeccable (we had real difficulty escaping Luxembourg, the country, not the city ), mpg , all in all a proper GT. Looking pleased with itself at Ijmuiden Edited October 14, 2016 by The G Man

Sam Mcgoo
Very Would love to do a euro road trip. How gutted are ya about the battle scars ? That would grit my Sh*t. Stang looks good, even better with dirty wheels Just suits the colour of the car and the dark accents better.

Stang looks good, even better with dirty wheels Just suits the colour of the car and the dark accents better. You've got the car to do it in , for the most part everyone on here has got the car to do it in. Western European roads are a treat, even the back roads are mostly smooth as silk. It was night and day when we got back in the UK and came back across the A69 on our way home. We need major infrastructure investment in this country. Anyway, if you do it, take a big bag of money Battle scars add to the character, we have no real idea how it happened, its small and the paint isn't broken, I'll look at a smart repair of some kind once I've got my head round going back to work . I get what you're saying re the wheels, I loved the dark grey of the Nismo wheels, but I've no plans to change them or the colour.
The G Man
Fitted the GT350R steering wheel last week, its very reminiscent to the 370Z Nismo wheel, Alcantara and leather with the red 'sighting' top centre piece. Not cheap, that's more to do with the $ v £ though. I'll get a pic up as soon as is convenient. This V8 Mustang gets better and better, probably going to get a Lund tune before my trip to Provence later this year, plan to do a bit of AB roads on the way back, so limiter removed with the Lund Edit even further: MPSS first Edited January 28, 2017 by The G Man
The G Man
As promised, GT350R steering wheel, a lot chunkier and smaller diameter with a flat base, really nice feel to it and very reminiscent of my Nismo wheel Also gave her a clean This is the next mod, MGW X Spec short shifter Edited February 9, 2017 by The G Man
sipar69
Nice shots. That does indeed look a lot like the Nismo wheel.
The G Man
Nice shots. That does indeed look a lot like the Nismo wheel. Yeah, if the top part was leather it'd be near identical, a bit chunkier and the flat bottom, are the main differences. The stock steering wheel has a, well, cheapo feel and look. Mucho happier now

The G Man
Had a fair few mods done over the past week, front lights modified, 'shark teeth' drl's now activated and act as sequential indicators along with a cool halo light (not uploaded pics yet), lower GT grill, Stanginator badge to replace the front Pony and hood vents (heat Extractors as fitted to the US model) along with the MGW XSpec short shifter (again no pics, you would only see a shorter gearstick ) If I do some video of the lights, I'll post up later. The G Man
Not been on for a while, still getting to grips with the new format, well done on that the admins only update ive got is I've now fitted the JLT intake, Velosa Big Mouth and re-mapped with a Dream Science tune. Not overly massive numbers, probably up around 460-470 on the horses front, increased torque and a big change mid range (seems this is where all the power is transferred to Oh and MPSS all round Been on a triip to Provence last month which was very cool some more 'muscle' Oops, need to look at my image hosting Edited July 23, 2017 by The G Man

Hopefully the z has got a good home, but I would at some stage think about hunting it down and buying it back if it were available. different car altogether though, apples and pears and all that. I'd even consider buying my old RX8 back, but funnily enough I've got no feelings toward my old Ebisu 370GT

The G Man
Only mod I’ve done recently is rear sequentials, just a plug and play job, but pretty effective Anyone going to Le Mans? The G Man
Not updated my wee Mustang thread for donkeys, so a wee update. Upgraded the headers to 1” 7/8 dia and had a new tune installed, gone is the canned Dream Science 439 tune with JLT intake (intake still there), in comes the X Force Headers and bespoke Lund tune (500 dyno’d). Today the X Force with Varex smart box arrived, getting installed tomorrow. Gone the Ford Racing by Borla (3” from cats to 2.5” and a bit of a compromise adaptation ( X pipe had to go), to full 3” engine back system. Unfortunately, no pics of the headers, but here’s the X Force Cat Back: Should auger well for Whipple install forgot to add new 18 model manifold as well Edited October 30, 2019 by The G Man

The G Man
Paintwork done, here’s a few shots of mine, bodyshop sending me more detailed pics of the breakdown. So, ‘new’ second hand bonnet, MMD-V Series hood scoop, full front end, wings all freshly painted, doors and flanks blended and whole care machine polished. Theres a, hopefully, minor issue with the front light connections (mostly indicator related) which is being looked at by an auto electrician tomorrow.
