nissanman312
The one other thing about Honda ownership I loved was this, they never went wrong, I never needed to buy anything other than services tyres and brakes. You need an NSX. Mine was an early 3.0 car in formula red, cost me a meagre 18k at the time and had 84k miles showing. To buy the car back now would probably cost me double that! Family comes first and my daughter was born so it had to go.I loved it and although the interior was a sea of black by christ was it well made. Even on that mileage it felt brand new. I'd love to own a nsx

Exactly the same with the EP3 I owned. 3 Years of trouble free ownership, car was at 119K miles when I sold it and was still as reliable as ever. Lovely! You going to take it to TDI North? Very unlikely tbh as this is just a stop gap car really. Most likely it will stay well maintained & standard although I'll maybe get an induction kit or exhaust for it one day just for the extra noise. Good choice GM!! Always liked the FN2. Cheers mate. Hopefully will be a nice, reliable, cheap to run daily for a while anyway.
TT350
I'm seriously thinking of joining you with a k20 type R. I'd LOVE a K20 in an EF Civic though lol.

Haven't seen an EF Civic in person for decades now. If you can find one that would be so cool with a K20 in it. Those EF's don't way hardly anything so the power to weigh ratio would be fantastic. Stutopia
I find the Mugen Type Rs to be rather saucy. Glag you're not too disappointed after your cracking Z.

I'd always fancied an FN2 at some point and now is the perfect time. Won't be doing much to it really more just enjoying it as is, tidying up any bits that set my OCD off and maintaining it. You have to appreciate different cars for their different attributes. Sure I miss the Zed and especially it's power but the Civics not all bad & essentially does the same thing which is get me around.

GMballistic
Not tempted by a Teg? Not really tbh. I'm not a big fan of the DC2 looks wise although the DC5 does look better I think. Either way it wasn't really on my radar as what I was after. Only two cars I was thinking of was the Civic Type R FN2 or an Audi S3 2006-2008 model. The Audi though was just too much money though really especially as the lower mileage examples are still demanding a premium. Got more bang for buck with the CTR I feel and as I said it's only a stop gap before I can get back in something with a bit more go. Anyway 0-60 is around 6.5 and top end 146mph odd so the Civics hardly slow.
The G Man
GM, in no way am I trying to insult you, but ionebee is right, that is one ugly little car, if it were me that was moving house and needed to downsize, I'd get a van, that would be a cooler replacement for the Z Sorry, not meaning to offend buddy, if you're happy, that's all that matters Edited July 22, 2015 by The G Man

Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder it would seem. I'm happy with it honestly thanks G Man. The G Man
No, sorry, not winding you up, just thinking practicality, and, who hasn't had an Astra 1.7 Diesel Turbo up their hoop on a motorway?? Enjoy your new ride, it's cool buddy, but I like vans, when considering costs

I think you need to make that a reality one day.

GMballistic
Today was a good day. Great weather, got some jobs done and enjoyed a nice drive too. The Civic got treated to 2 new front tyres (Bridgestone Potenza RE050A) and I also fitted a new gear gaiter that I bought. The Honda dealer wanted £44 odd for an OEM gear gaiter (which isn't genuine leather or anything special) but after some research on CTRO I found a nice replacement for £11 odd on eBay from "Top Gaiters". Genuine leather as well.

GMballistic
... and the modding begins bets NOT being taken on where it will end Honestly I'm not going to mod it. It was just that the OEM gear gaiter was worn & ripped so for the £11 it cost for the new one from eBay I thought why not. It was the only thing letting down an otherwise tidy interior. My tech is a Honda specialist and he's just expanded into carrying more uprated goodies... You can stay away from me as well Stu.
