You don't know the circumstances of that owner....he could of had a duff one. I have been assured that these are good quality and made to last Ask PaulT as he has one If you wanted the real deal you would be looking to spend over £160 for one This is a cheap alternative Im perfectly happy to stick it on the front of my car

Update: I am now happy with the car....i have some one step colder plugs coming too. I rang thor but they want me to sign a waiver before tuning the car.....fair enough i guess but that leaves me quite vulnerable.. So basically its abbey bound....kicking my self as it should of gone there in the first place Once marks happy with it he will get the job done So utec looks like its going and uprev leading the way "hopefully"

If you put the maps side by side there is a massive difference with every parameter.....Still needs mapping as it is just a base map to get you going. But yeah it must of been the timing on the map they was using that was messing up

O and i get no ecu error codes

Have been busy today!! Not only did i fit a sat nav i also fixed my car Took apart my top end to get to the fuel rails. Took out my injectors and replaced the o-rings. But everything back together. Started the car up and it seemed ok......took it for a drive and it was doing the same a definite misfire on accelerating.. Arse!!!! So i switch it to map 2 (a downloaded map from turboxs) Started the car and pulled off!!! boy o boy!!! no misfire and went like a rocket!!!! What i don't understand is surly this could of been detected when i went for my tune Anyway my car is ready

Thanks for the support mark Here is what i intend to do: Replace spark plugs for denso 1 step colder, check for air leaks in and around the plenum chamber,clean the maf and check all nuts on exhaust and cats and check for gas leaks. Once i have done all these checks i will have a better picture on where to go next. After this it still drives well with slight misfires i will get it on a dyno and see what she does. I would understand the need to go further into this if the car drove like a bag of nails.....but considering the fact it drives fine and pulls when needed the things i am going to do are just going to further conclude that its the tuning that will sort the car out.

Its not misfiring on all cylinders bennett just multiple ones....having spoken with str8dum1 he believes like many others that this is very common when running FI and its something that can be worked into the tune. Obviously i am going to check plugs, injectors etc....if yoiur around the weekend come round and we will go out for a drive in it and see what you think but to me the car is driving like it should
