I'm with Virgin and got them to send me an FOC Netgear router. It took a bit of haggling, but if you've been with your provider awhile I reckon you'll get one, after all they're sending them out free to new customers It's the Netgear WRG614, does the job for me just fine. I use it for wifi to my phone and for playing the PS3 online. I have the 10meg broadband package and no issues with lag on Black Ops or GT5

Like he says, spoiled and eye catchy. Free insurance for a year too

Thanks for the peace of mind Ekona. Looking forward to feeling the difference

yep and i'm looking at cutting those back as well Fortunately I neither smoke or drink, and sex is free so I can still afford the meals out There's no such thing as a free munch....I mean lunch Seriously though, petrol's will be dead one day, enjoy them while you can unless you're on the breadline. Life's too short

I need a couple of new bushes on the front (need to check the car, pretty sure it's the usual compression arm bushes) and am thinking of replacing all suspension bushes front and rear as the car's done 65K. I'll be getting them off the usual suspects on here, defo Alex' new press in banana arm bush. The easiest option is to use my trusted local garage, does anyone foresee any issues with a non Zed specialist doing it? I mean they're pretty standard items aren't they?

Why has it been retrimmed and is it nicely done? The car may be harder to move on later if the trim and carbon stuff is gash. If it's OK and the dash warnings can be resolved easily it sounds like a £5K bargain...get that HPI done and fault codes read though

Forum newbie, looking to become a 350z member soon

Welcome It's a good solid car and faults/niggles are minor and well documented on here. Don't be surprised if the cars you test have a high biting point - all the ones I drove did... -
Not my bag, but as you say, it is for the wife. Don't laugh but can't you persuade her to get a Panda 100HP? A good drive apparently and at least you won't be too embarassed to drive it

Of course I am biased towards the Zed but I think it might seem a bit tame after a supercharged Chimaera However, superchargers are available Post pics of the Zed when you get it - and some of the Chimaera too How did you find TVR ownership?

True enough, the Seat interior's probably slightly lower in quality but I should imagine its a bit more interesting to drive? The Golf was awesome as an everyday car though, ESP off and it just hauled out of corners. It was quick, eco, and reliable. Just like the zed If they hold their value that well it's win win win. Until you turn the stereo off that is......

what class are you? great british class survey

It would be great if it said you are a lover, I'd fill it in then -
+1 on the Zed plus cheap sootchucker idea. As suggested already, the older PD 150 is an awesome unit, if unrefined. Ridiculous torque at stupidly low revs. They chip really well and even the 130bhp one should suffice with a remap. Be wary of earlier PD's though, which had camshaft problems. A mate is looking at buying a cheap diseasel at the mo and I looked at Golf GT TDi 150's for him - the prices seem to have increased in the last year or so if that's possible. We sold a 2004 one a couple of years ago and eventually sold it for £4.5K - they still seem to make that now

what class are you? great british class survey

Do you really need to take a survey to assess your state of finances, whether people like you and if you're cultured? I must be loaded because I own a sports car. I know I'm really popular beacause I've collected shedloads of Facebook friends. I saw Black Swan at the cinema the other day, so I'm like, really cultured. Time best spent on my discounted copy of GT5, on my own in my front room with bad taste furniture if you ask me -
Deutschland. Autobahn. Diesel The 330d's one o the best to be fair, I should think the 4.2 Audi V8 sootchucker's a good unit if you don't mind understeer?

Being a good bowler just ain't cool anymore I used to bowl in a league when I was a kid and my team mate once bowled a junior record 299...he was in a world of pain for that last 9 pins My old work used to go bowling for the christmas do and gave prizes for top score, most strikes, top team etc - I still have a stockpile of sh*t whiskey and sherry. The Toblerones didn't last long though A few classic soundbites.... http://www.hark.com/collections/qhxgvxzrnw-big-lebowski

when they turn up on your doorstep asking if you want your drive done? proper good job give you a good quote . and stealing scrap metal. It's not just scrap metal, they'll take anything. We could actually learn something from their sense of community and family value, it's just a shame that 'normal' society's contact with them is usually as a victim of some 'endeavor' or other... Check out this Race Relations Act info http://www.yourrights.org.uk/yourrights ... tion.shtml ...The legal cases make interesting reading, I mean, WTF!

Just noticed the end of Max Power on the newsstand
Leeroy replied to AK350Z's topic in Off Topic Discussion
The mark 2 was just xr2, the injected engine came in the mark 3. I had a nostalgic flash back tonight. There was a breeze blue Nova SRi cruising about near my work. My first car was a breeze blue flair - the same as an SRi (once I changed the front seats) except below the rub strip was blue on mine and the sri had grey. Ace! The nostalgia! My first car was a B reg MK2 Astra, it didn't even come with a passenger door mirror as standard, I had to get one from the scrappy. I must have bought a few issues of the said magasine because I had a Max Power sticker on my numberplate which read "It's taxed, insured and MOT'd so go chase some proper villains". Luckily it was so small that on the occasions I did get pulled I don't think they noticed -
It sounds like the concensus is that financially the club stacks up if you want to drive an assortment of new metal over the course of a year. Hopefully in a year or two the best car will be sat in your driveway anyhow What constitutes a waste of money is all relative, a poor student might think anyone buying a new supercar is insane but 5 or 10 years down the line in a decent job he might find himself doing just that. Hopefully he won't be taking it out for a car smoke though I say go for it, but please don't waste credits on a diesel Rangie

Bl00dy hell, summer gets earlier every year

Welcome from a fellow ex-Golf owner The Zed is a rather different proposition from the MKIV Golf, as you know. No need for trail braking anymore Enjoy!
-
Judging by the chair base you've had a 'moment' or two

That rail looks cool There are some excellent lifts out there too, I'm sure you've seen them...

Not sure if this'll help, but if you're CADing it up yourself here's a dwg file for the 350z in plan and profile. I came from a chap on the MY350Z site. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/leutgens/350cad.dwg It needs scaling up to metric as it's drawn in inches. It's pretty accurate, by my reckoning it's about 40mm too long/wide. Good luck...

New member thinking of buying....

I'll second that The Type R V-TEC's are awesome but you'll appreciate the Zed's power at low revs
