  1. I had my nearside (passenger side) wing mirror kicked off last weekend, the body coloured mirror casing and mirror are fine, it's just the black plastic bracket that attaches to the car that has broken. Does anyone have either a whole spare Kuro black mirror (inc cable etc) or even better, a spare mounting bracket? I've tried the usual suspects (traders) on here to no avail
  2. The mirror is now off, so I'm driving around with just a drivers side mirror, 1980's stylee I ended up cutting the cable 3" from the white plug inside the car, just so as I could pull the cable back through the internal door bracket. Would still like to know what my options are for just replacing the external door bracket though, as the rest of the mirror is all good
  3. I know, I will, wondered if anyone else here knows though. To get me out of trouble today (i need to make a longish journey) i'm going to remove the mirror - Nissan said to cut the power cable but i don't want to do that if i can just get the bracket and bastardise the existing one.... Also, how do i remove the mirror glass? Prise it off?
  4. I wonder if anyone can help with an urgent problem. Some retard kicked my nearside wing mirror off last night and broke the bracket which is attached to the car. THe mirror itself and the bodycoloured housing is fine. Does anyone know if the bracket which attached to the car can be replaced separately? Nissan are saying i would need to replace the whole lot inc mirror which seems a bit extreme. Cheers, so ANNOYED
  5. I'm hoping i don't need the whole bar, but thanks for the heads up on the cones in case I do Mike I'll get the garage to check all bushes when they fit the new banana arm bush.
  6. Daily driver: E60 M5 Weekend: Maserati Granturismo S Classic: GT40 (Gulf livery of course) Supercar: Zonda R Shits and giggles: Caterham R500 No-one said anything about road legality
  7. When I change the banana arm bushes is it recommended to change any other front bushes at the same time? I'm assuming the only shot bushes are the banana arm ones that I know about, but is there anything to gain by doing others while the suspension's partly in bits anyway? If so which ones should I be looking at doing?
  8. I was up in Lincolnshire at the weekend - I've heard that Glasgow has a reputation for Zed central but I saw 3 in Lincoln over the weekend. Can't remember the exact plates, places, times etc but on saturday I saw a black roadster in Hykeham, a red coupe on Moorland Avenue and a Blade coupe on Dixon Street. On the way back to the 'Smoke I passed a very nice yellow coupe on the M11 and saw another Blade on the A21 heading rapidly inbound off the M25 Any of you lot?
  9. Saw a very cool silver GT-R import on the M11 north from M25 yesterday. Reg xxxx GTR, with Clarion stickers.
  10. My other half's a fashion buyer, the usual business criteria apply. A good product, good quality reliable suppliers (the are agents that can help with this) and good buying prices. A good start to look at suppliers would be Turkey, India and China but this tends to depend on quantities and the product, even down to whether it's wool or cotton for example. If she is to trade from a shop it has to be in an appropriate location for the market. Obviously knowing her market is key. It's a good idea for her to get as much experience in the industry as possible first, in various roles. Good luck
  11. Shhh, you can't mention wrong wheel drive and 'fun' in the same sentence here So are you looking for a diesel or petrol? How about the 335d/535d? They're not WWD though. Surely there are some quick 4wd Audi sootchuckers? I guess the mental V10 TDi is out on price...
  12. That's awesome. There's something about hi-po German estate cars, they just float my boat/barge If you've got 4 doors you might as well have the extra storage - and there's more room for the exhaust note to bounce around...
  13. not sure that's correct http://usa.autodesk.com/products/mac-compatible-products anyway you could run Parallels You're right, it is do-able but the windows emulators don't like the more intensive aspects of AutoCAD (3D etc). I've looked into it for clients who are Mac based - there is a native AutoCAD 2011 for OS X but it has A LOT of issues. Besides if I was a Mac user I wouldn't want to see MS Windows on my machine. It's a real lifestyle choice, the comparison to the Audi brand is good - it's great marketing and product design (Job's team are awesome) but I'm not buying into it, mainly because of the limitations Apple place on hardware and software. Plenty do though and fair play
  14. Someone already made the shed recommendation really thats the best you can do; just shows how much of an automotive ignoramus you are Oooooh What can this ignoramous say Post of the month, you spoil me
  15. Mac stuff is great if ; A ) You can't / don't want to get deep down n techy with your computer, ie upgrades etc B ) You like to pose C ) You like wasting money Otherwise pc and HTC all the way Seriously though, there isn't much in it these days, I just like the upgradability of pc's and Mac's don't have the software I need (AutoCAD).

  17. I'm not a fan of the single exhaust either, I don't think you can improve on the OEM balance of the two. A single central might work, was thinking along the oval line too.... It doesn't look butch enough though Stack em high a la Zonda that's what I say - if your going to ruin a car go all out
  18. Last week's was funny, in the 325i cabrio feature when they were forensically examining the interiors - May said "actually I like Gentlemen's Relish" before realising what the other two were on about
  19. I test drove a couple of Zeds in the Mansfield dealership, the salesman was alright. I forgot to take my driving license that he'd asked for and it wasn't a problem. He was a bit of a petrol-head too so the test drive was fun and he wasn't pushy. We didn't talk money because the car's weren't right for me but on the whole they were fine. A mate bought his 4mo from an Evans Halshaw and he's happy, it all comes down to the dealer in the end I guess...
  20. The RS division never touched the Puma, the FRP was created by the Rally team in Boreham Well done for not biting, it's just not worth it. What I find most impressive is that the Puma went sideways so easily, kudos to those Boreham engineers
  21. How refreshing it must be to live in a country where the general public aren't anti-car
  22. That'll probably be me then There's marginally more headroom in the non-GT model (manually operated seat base seems a tad lower) but you'll be fine in either. Black Zeds seem to fit tall people better
