  1. A proper sleeper. I'm currently looking for a 2nd car - the Cossie looks a bit over budget though
  2. I'd like to say I hacked into your computer and copied your Stelvio vid, but actually I just clicked the link on the last page of your forum blog
  3. Nice, getting a different car is alway fun - especially older ones which represent a bit more of a challenge Fancy making a few mods?
  4. Nice article Had a look at your vid of the Stelvio Pass at night - I bet that was hard work It looked like it was wet too.....
  5. Awesome, thanks Brillo Like the look of it, not too keen on the riveted/screwed options. Probably more appropriate than this anyhoo....
  6. My tax disc holder is on its way too
  7. I thought about that and decided that the World would be a better place with another stubby in it
  8. Bugger, I was looking for the race on catch-up last night.
  9. After 2 years of Zed ownership and no modding, I just bought a stubby
  10. I always try and go to gaucho's when in town, however I only ever go on business and either try and egt someone more senior to take me or wipe out my daily allowance I did quite a bit of walking last time I was down there as I had a few american colleagues with me and there are a lot of nice little pubs off the beaten track that do a decent pint for a decent price.. Mind you you're from Knutsford so you may be used to inflated prices. One tip, there is what seemed like a nice little pub near Trafalgar Square and as one of the guys needed a pit stop they wanted to go in and have a pint while he used their facilities.... He headed straight to the gents which was downstairs while we walked to the bar.... then realised it was an establishment catering for a different sexual orientation so we decided to wait outside as it was soooo over the top. The guy was missing for about 20 minutes as down stairs was also a live stage and he had to fight his way to and from the gents where he was hit on quite a bit. Morale of the story, avoid a pub called "halfway to heaven" wish we'd looked at the name first Haha, unlucky - I pass that pub most days on my way to work It reminds me of a time when me and my mates did the same thing in Amsterdam - luckily I clocked it too and a couple of us waited outside, the others had already bought a drink before they realised! That drink didn't last long
  11. Did you use these guys in the end SMDave? I now have a spare set of wheels so am good to go for a refurb on the Rays....
  12. Nice one, Toptable is a booking site with some good offers (50% off food etc). http://www.toptable.com/ Thai Square is good (Thai food, believe it or not!) and I heartily recommend Pho Cafe for Vietnamese if that floats your boat. Both have a few restaurants in popular areas.
  13. Some good tips there, I'd avoid Aberdeen Angus restaurants though as they're a bit touristy. For good steak take your GF to Gaucho in Piccadilly - it's a bit pricy but the meat is amazing. The Udderbelly is a good tip too, check out the shows, they normally have some good stuff. The 'garden' is a good place to chill for awhile. I haven't found the drinks to be much more expensive than oop north TBH, at least if you avoid the usual tourist traps. What did surprise me is the number of old school boozers, I naively expected it to be all wine-bars when I moved here
  14. Dare to be different Gort, with a well cut suit and the aforementioned tan brogues you'll look good Go easy on the socks though....
  15. A vote for yes here The shoes need to be a light/tan brown and the suit a light grey though IMO.
  16. My point was that I can't see the problem that the race is "staged for the general public who know jack-**** so they can have their annual flutter" I do know jack-**** though and I lost £20
  17. I don't think the bookies and owners mind whether you're a seasoned gambler or not. The general public enjoy a flutter too and if there's money to be made then everybody is happy
  18. Lmao!!! You need to be careful to stop willie touching bowl action as that = diseases = #fail I only do it for a treat sometimes + 1 trillion, especially in public loos This would be an occasion when under-endowment is a positive
  19. Just a quick note to thank Jez for some work we just had done to our car. He fitted Superpro front lower shock absorber bushes and compression arm bushes and new front discs and pads so car is now handing as sweetly as it used to. Really happy with the work and would recommend Horsham Developments to work on your pride and joy If you need lunch whilst the car is being worked on I'd also recommend the Red Lion pub in Chieveley village too, it's a pleasant 20 minute walk away. Great food and beer and a friendly landlord. It's a nice area so we made a weekend of it and stayed in their B&B too which was also good
  20. It's a smear on your window . . . . . Shame on you
  21. Gumtree would be worth a look too.... This link contains the search 'engine problem' http://www.gumtree.com/search?q=engine+ ... cope=title
