  1. I can't help feel that the Deltawing is a great piece of PR but a crap concept for a racecar. Given that racecars have limited views behind due to bodystyles/mirrors etc, I should think the Deltawing is a difficult object to share a track with. It'd be easy to misjudge a move by seeing the front of the Deltawing and assuming that you have some space to move over, only to smack the wider rear. I think it's doomed
  2. You're all wrong, it's an awesome piece of design and engineering and I'm not even a Ferrari fan!. I like the 'subtle' (contextually!!!) approach, it's a nice departure from the usual Italian over-design.....
  3. All a bit off topic but at that pricepoint the R8 GT would also get a look in....
  4. I hope thats not you betting on some inheritance! Just make sure he spends some dollar on Nismo goodies first
  5. My grandma couldn't wait for me to take her out in the Zed, she absolutely loved it. My dad took her out on a Harley the other month too. She's 90!! She's also a Speedway and Moto GP fan and goes ten-pin bowling regulary
  6. I like to think I've got a good imagination, but I'm not seeing that one
  7. The 458 is my favourite car design out there at the moment.....the body seems to be perfectly stretched over the mechanicals.
  8. What a shame, all part of the ongoing march towards hitting green targets and the death knell of big N/A engines
  9. Should have bought a white GT-R in the first place
  10. The benefit of a site like Blackcircles is that they give you a fitting/supply cost of a place near to you. It's normally pretty easy to deduce where the fitting place is too if you're picky about where to take your PaJ. Good point about bartering though, many shops will pricematch.....
  11. Is it the stuff the AC guys put in to check for leaks? Maybe it sits in the system until an unsuspecting ear approaches
  12. I agree, but, I believe it's unfair to compare the two. By the time you've added a few bits and pieces to the basic £48.5 for a Cayman S you're really looking at a car that's going to set you back £55k or probably more....and last time I asked a few years ago the discount for cash was pitiful. A 370Z will set you back £33k with the GT pack, you can probably get a big discount on that too. A better comparison would be 370Z against the Boxster, Cayman S versus GTR. Pete True, but the OP asked whether he should try a Cayman S to see how it stacked up against the 370Z. Whether he can afford it or not only he knows Personally, there's no way I'd be buying a new Cayman S, I could think of far better S/H things to buy with the best part of £50K, the 911 Turbo would be one of them
  13. Ugly is a bit harsh IMO but the rear is definitely more successful than the front. Either way, you have to admit that it's hugely better looking than most of the car ming that Korea has given us previously....
  14. I have to say, the 911 sounds terrible, sounds like there is something wrong with it I agree, it's the one thing that would put me off. It definitely has a clinical 'motorsport' sound to it though, and I think you'd grow to like it - expecially with the aforementioned exhaust upgrade. Although I doubt you can just spend £400 on a mid pipe and backbox to achieve a huge sound change, as you would with a Zed
  15. Oh you are so so so wrong +1 + Another 1. Ooooh harsh I haven't driven either but I'd be happy to put money on the Porsche being a far better drive. I shouldn't think the running costs are prohibitive either.... Cayman S over a 370Z every day of the week for me I'm afraid
  16. I've been seeing a few Zed's lately. Spotted an '06 Plate GM 350Z Coupe in the Sainsbury's car park on Pallant Way today
  17. I saw my car's twin last saturday in Cookham. Didn't catch the plate mind... Nice car
  18. I saw this the other day and thought it was interesting enough to take a snap of...... It's nice to see some of the lower end car manufacturers taking a few risks with their designs to pull in a younger crowd. Well, by 'some' I guess I mean two - Hyundai and Kia

Should the garage not be sorting this for you if it was their fault? They should buy you a s/h part at the very least.
  20. Lepsons - £260 + VAT for four wheels with tyres. Inspraytion - £150 inc VAT for the same on the current offer. I read reviews and they seemed good so I gave Inspraytion a whirl, time will tell how they last but they're guaranteed for 12 months and they look good
  21. Repaired tyres are not better than new ones, I dont care what the name on the side is. I'm with you there, I just bought a set of RE050A's on wheels and I avoided any which had repairs..... That's why I mentioned the repairs
  22. I just had my Rays refurbed by Inspraytion in Rochester and thought I'd post a note to say I'm happy with the result. Sean is a nice chap and they're keen on achieving good results, which like any business they should be. Their work is guaranteed for a year..... They have a June refurb offer of 4 wheels for 150 notes, they also fit tyres and balance for this price I'll post pics when I get a chance...... The difference in feel from the standard 18's to Rays was pleasingly noticable too
