  1. I just painted my front wiper arms, it's just one bolt holding each arm to the splined spigot, pop off the washer fluid tubes first though. If you push down on the arm while wiggling it off the spigot it should pop off, it isn't too tricky to guess the angle of the arm on the spline when re-fitting - you can re-position if it isn't right. Regarding torque settings, just be sensible when tightening the bolt when you refit, you can guess the torqeness. I used Hammerite smooth, it's glossier than I expected but looks great against the Kuro black colour of my car. In fact I reckon it'd look good against any colour
  2. 05 Plate, the exhaust sounded great....
  3. Saw a good looking Azure 350Z in the public car par yesterday, Reg. C5 ***....
  4. I'm there tomorrow with a supplier. How would I spot you Docwra?
  5. Hard lines Rabbit, sounds like you did the right thing, you really know your onions. After all, you have to earn a substantial crust to justify the rising costs - at least you still have a steak in RWD cars, that's gravy. I'm guessing it'll be a lot harder to overcook than the Zed, but the filling won't smell as sweet - never a good idea to burn the oil really but you will save some dough. I'm guessing that you'll be sitting a bit higher in the Bimmer too, so you'll have a Bird's Eye view - it won't sound fruity though and people might think "you basted". Finally, you'll be pleased that crimpers are no longer necessary, although the hard top means you might stay pasty when the sun eventually comes out. I hope that you enjoy the new leaf that you had to Turnover - maybe you'll be back in the fold at some point in the future
  6. Many thanks. Anglesey does look awesome, the Fifth Gear features there always looked fun. I'm also keen to try Cadwell, I really like the look of the 'B' road / mini nurburgring thing Bedford looks the way forward for now though, i'll try to sort an evening soon......
  7. Thanks guys, presumably Bedford is an airfield track - is it abrasive? Reading Wikipedia they seem to have spent some cash on appropriate surfaces...
  8. I'm hoping to do a trackday in the next couple of months, I've had a search around and probably can't see for looking but I'd like a bit of advice..... It's my first trackday so I think I'll play it safe and do a novice day, can anyone recommend a particularly good organiser and track? I'm based in SE London but am happy to travel within reason
  9. I'd rather wait for 3 years for the car to be affordable to buy, even if you have to take a loan out - at least you have a car at the end of it and don't have to worry about mileage and being hammered for minor damage at hand-in time. I'm looking at cars at the moment and good RS4's (b7 shape) can be had for less than £20K, S4's (b7) and BMW 335i's for £15K. I'd rather gt one of these than splash £10K plus on something I don't even own
  10. Looks like a nice rum Tarantula, will have to check it out. For a white rum I like Wray and Nephew - far, far superior to Bacardi. I also like Mount Gay, Havana Club (5 or 7) and Appleton Estate - it does make you thirsty thinking about it! My dad likes his rum too, but he's partial Woods or Pussers which are overproof badboys.......
  11. Cool idea but an ipad sized screen would look ridiculous on the dash, I think you'd need to see a wider angle shot to appreciate that
  12. But those two don't have a life outside the forum.....hence a high post count 5 odd thousand ain't bad going
  13. Ahh cool now I follow Iwantone - I'd presume they could recycle the core waste of the aluminium cut spacer providing a return in costs? The machine shop might reclaim the recycled alu cost for you, or you could collect it yourself to cash in when you have enough. Ball-ache that one though... Alternatively, you could laser-cut some bespoke Zed badges out of the waste and get them anodised? Something along the lines of the Tommy K 'Z' would be cool Flat alu badges might look a bit naff tho, it'd be good to get some relief into the design...
  14. 20mm at the front and 25mm at the back?

Yikes 260 I last sold a set for 150 quid delivered with tyres I was kidding - I'd love to think they were worth £200 without tyres but I reckon I'd be squirting into the wind....

Stock wheels fetch very little. We all know that isn't true Ricey, stock 18's are worth hundreds of pounds, probably even more than the Rays. I have a set for sale as it goes I will give you £50 and use them as winter wheels £60 if they have tyres That's £260 notes then Dave, it's a done deal

I applaud your desire to be different, there can't be many Zed shoppers on the look-out for a car WITHOUT Rays
  19. Fair do's I'm not a race driver so wouldn't claim to know. I'm trying to think of the last time I saw a racecar get within a few inches of another - silly me, it was the last (and every) F1 Grand Prix and those fellas really don't want to be rubbing wheels. Most races, from Karts to F1 and LMS result in cars shaving pieces of carbonfibre off each other or worse
  20. It's got a couple of mahoosive lights on the rear quarters, there's no mistaking how wide the vehicle is. True enough, but if a driver looks to the side and sees the front wheel of the Nissan, he'd easily assume that he has a few feet to move across - then he'd hit the wider rear quarter. The rear quarter would probably be in the blind spot of his mirrors too.....
  21. Not if he's planning to go into production
