Apples and oranges really, go for the 370z every time. I haven't tried the TTS but have had a go in the TTRS on track, great car but it wasn't any more fun than my car at the time which was a 350z.

Without slagging the Zed off too much, it really is a different league. A fair bit faster and the way it corners is just so balanced. Cheers for the comments, glad its a well respected car. Happy days, I always imagine the M3 handling to be more refined than the Zed - that isn't a criticism of the 350Z though, I love it's slightly 'rebellious' attitude.

Sod the badge snobbery, I like the VX220. I love Elises too but the rarity of the VX makes it interesting. There's a lot to be said for modest power, especially in a lightweight. I honestly think that the 350Z has the perfect amount of power - at least you can use everything it has a lot of the time.

Very nice, how does it compare to the Zed drive-wise?

The 911's and Z3M's are a safe bet. S1 Elises should go the same way as the original Elan eventually, although there are a few more of them I guess. How's about an Esprit? An E30 M3 or Integrale would be an awesome ownershiop proposition - not 2 seaters I know. Maybe out of budget too.

Along witth the scrappage scheme this is a crime against perfectly good old cars

The previous owner admitted to hitting 170 on the Autobahn and from experience to date that would be a rather simple task The E39 M5 is commonly known as 'The Beast'. It's a big ol' machine Dave, so easily done I'd say. The car fools you into thinking it's lighter than it is because of the power and handling on the move. This can result in a few 'squeaky-bum-time' stops and corners though I should think your new Jaaaaag is similar.
