  1. That looks really smart, clean and simple with some quality mods. I personally found the rotas no heavier that the rays when I changed mine. I didn't weight them though so it's a hardly a scientific statement...
  2. Hi mate, I have to be honest, I have no axle stands so I went for the lazy option and got a tyre/exhaust centre to fit it. (I used F1 in Chelmsford as my parents use them a lot and I find them quite good). They used all the standard mounts and I've had no problems with rubbing, rattles or alignment. I hope that helps, if only a little! Matt
  3. Sorry it's taken a while, here are some clips for those who are interested. I really like the sound, it's great with the window down but very quiet in the cabin. Sorry the clips are not 'full throttle' but it was a public area. For reference my set up is; HKS induction kit, standard cats and Y pipe, Scorpion system. Enjoy http://uk.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A6E233F5ADC5184A
  4. Hi mate, Can you clear your inbox? I dropped you a PM but it's stuck in my outbox... Thanks, Matt
  5. You can just imagine... The back of my tv cabinet looks messy enough
  6. I'm actually running the same set up. I fitted this myself at the weekend... It took about 4 hours and a whole pack of rich tea biscuits but it was well worth the grazed knuckles. I'll post up a 'how to' in the guides section..... You'll need a pair of pliers and insulation tape to splice the ECU's...
  7. Hi Amit, I bought my Scorpion a few weeks back, my Z is a 53 plate uk car. I took mine to a local tyre/exhaust centre, they had in on in 20 minutes and complimented the quality of the fit. If you're not confident save yourself the hassle! I hope it works out, Matt
  8. Congratulations to Lewis and congratulations to Massa for being a great sport and a gentleman. It's the FIA that's ruining the sport; F - Ferrari I - International A - Assistance
  9. I like the look from the front but personally I think it would look much better if the wings did not pierce the headlights... The rear quarter is a little odd, the strange windows are too 'square' and conflict the curves found elsewhere. Again I'm not keen on the rear wing piercing the rear cluster. The rear wheels look a little small too and Nissan haven't been listening to Sarnie... It needs some spacers! I think it will grow on us guys... Is anyone going for the first PX lol?
  10. Thanks buddy, received safe and sound
  11. That looks great IMO, always good to see someone trying something different.
  12. Thanks guys, The tyres do need some dressing, I run out of time in the end as I had the MOT in the afternoon. The morons gave me an advisor for my magic tree inhibiting the view and repaired F.O.C... these people eh!
  13. Hi all, Thanks to everyone who voted on my poll... This being a fair democracy and all I decided to ignore you all (Mugabe stylee) and go for the gunmetal colour! I also liked the black with the red lip but I think you need to go for a full bodykit etc to get that look right. Here are some naff pictures from my phone, I'll post up some better pictures later and get a sound clip of scorpion sorted. It's starting to sounds quite fruity now Please don't ask about the cost as I don't want to offend Phil and the other traders. I was very happy with the price Phil gave me so give him a call. That's enough car nonsense for a weekend, off the pub today for Chelsea v Liverpool and Westham V Arsenal. A productive Monday coming up... Cheers, Matt
  14. You could try one of these; http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165635 I'm going to pick one up on Saturday but I won't get round to fitting it just yet...If you trust them Halfords will fit it for free. There is also a guide in the 'guides' section. Cheers, Matt
  15. Sorry to hijack this but what is difference between P2 and P3 then? They just change the diff oil by the looks of it? I just had a P2 and they classified this in the book as the 'minor service' Thanks, Matt
  16. Hopefully I'll get about 5k for mine then going on that price. Not that I have any intention of selling
  17. Yeah, when is the ESR London branch opening??? We're all waiting
  18. Cheers Digsy, be warned about the coffee though Matt.
  19. Hi all, After calling my local dealers and receiving outrageous quotes of between 317-370 pounds for a P2 service I realised all my local dealers were under the same franchise, Glyn Hopkins... I searched a little further a field and found WLN Nissan in Mill Hill - NW7 2QR. They quoted me 199 pounds for a P2, using their oil. I booked the car in this morning and went armed with my copy of Evo to pass the time... During the service they noticed my 'clicky axle' and carried out a free re grease (the short term repair) and didn't charge me a penny. My car is a 2003 so it's well out of warranty. They also replaced a few bodywork clips and screws that were looking a little tried, again for free. The mechanic actually came out and had a chat, everyone was very helpful and the pricing is very good for the south east. They're located right around the A1/M1/A406 area so it's easy to get to. Ask for a guy called Peter if you're interested. 020 8203 8899. A rare pleasing trip to the dealer
  20. Hi Stew, It was tinted, it was actually quite dark when I held a large piece up to the light. IMO the window looks a lot a cleaner now, the tint wasn't really required... Matt
  21. I've personally not read anything to suggest it has been remedied. Nissan are in denial! All the posts I've read tend to involve older or higher mileage cars, I think (based on no mechanical knowledge) that you'll be fine with an 07. Try to keep an eye(ear) on it whilst you have some warranty left. Mine is most prominent when pull off in first. For early detection I would suggest: Finding a quiet back street or car park etc Wind down both windows, stereo etc turned off. Reverse backwards at about 1mph. Change to first, carefully bed in the clutch with minimal revs (to keep the noise down) and pull away using the torque in 1st. The change of direction from reverse to 1st will reveal any clicking. The change of direction should be carried out at very low speed. This was the test revealed by my local stealer...
