  1. No Ian you are wrong - the owner who had the ECU problem was being wrongly accused by the garage - the handbook sets out the usual procedure for jump starting (for those who may not know how to) I stand corrected
  2. I may be wrong but i'm sure I read somewhere that someone blew their ECU doing this? May be wrong but just thought i'd mention it.
  3. I have the iphone 3g and it is awesome. Im a bit of a tech geek though and its pretty much a pc in my pocket now!
  4. Thats pretty cool - i like it. One question though, can you see it from the outside and is there much of a viewing angle?
  5. Love the car, especially the alloys! Can I ask what sort of power the car is putting out? Oh, and
  6. gears are a linear change, the same change at any point in the rpm range with the VQ35DE engine, we suggest upping the rev limiter, though it's certainly not a requirement Can you just change the rev limit on the stock ecu via reflash or do you need the Haltech ECU or similar?
  7. I used to be part of a forum for a free sim called Racer. There were a few very good 350z models about that IIRC can be edited in most 3d programs. (I think racer even comes with one) Anyway, the forum is http://forum.racesimcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1261 Feel free to use my login, its UN:IanS16 PW:7882147 (Brings back memories- I was 16 at the time and had just bought a Renault 5 to rice)
  8. Is it just me or is the bloke leaning into that Golf huge?
  9. @ 3 mins - absolutely ridiculous. Most of them were horrible. Dont know why but I really liked the Black, Pink and White Veilside Zed though
  10. I get this too. Mine fills up to about 3 quarters then creeps up a tiny bit once driving. I could probably drive to Wales on my warning light. To be honest I dont trust the fuel guage in the Zed anyway. Its always going up and down for me.
  11. Still only works out at around £600 before labour. Not bad for a 15% increase in acceleration. And did you say you could fit it for a tenner Alex?
  12. Hmn.. sounds like a good option again now So am I correct in thinking all that is needed is the main 4.08 drive set and the install kit 1?
  13. Id love to do it, I'd just rather have my car supercharged AND go on holiday for 2 weeks.
  14. ESR/Fletch carried out the following work on my Nissan 350z: P1 Service Changing front disks and pads Camber & Toe alignment Installation of aftermarket Air Filter Installation of Aftermarket Y pipe (exhaust) Along with many other members of the 350z community, I did a 400 mile round trip from Birmingham to Sunderland to ensure my car was worked on by skilled specialists including Fletch whom I was confident would carry out the work to the highest standard. I would not hesitate to take my current or future cars to Fletch in the future. Kind Regards, Ian

    100 FAQs

http://my350z.com/forum/2003-2008-nissa ... tions.html Was having a browse through my350z earlier and found this. Some interesting stuff. Please note that this is from an American forum so not everything is exactly the same. So.. is back pressure needed in the exhaust or is that a myth?
  17. I'm only getting 14 MPG (5.8kml) as it is! Cheers mate, appreciate the advice!
  18. Cheers Alex I'm just looking at the moment to be honest. What would the be the drawbacks to this? Shorter gears? Oh, and what has the diff got to do with this? Is this not a sort of gear change in the gearbox?

    Just another pic

    I'm really hoping altheo45 isn't a bloke!!
  20. http://www.z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuse ... rentCat=24 Just looking through the Z store and came across the avove. Does anybody know which OEM parts are needed extra? Has anyone had this done as a 10%(ish) power increase is pretty damn good - better than £200 for a plenum and £150 for an air filter for a 1% increase. Does anybody know what the top speed will be brought down to? I assume if it would be approx 160mph?
  21. frankley south bound m5 tonight at 7pm... race meet Flirt, you do know he has an electric supercharger don't you - not one of them crappy mechanical turbos
  22. Err.. why would you want to do this? Maybe I'm missing the point? If you are buying a badge then your car isn't a GT4 so why does it matter if the badge is real or not??!! Tip of the day for anyone that didn't know: The GT4s have bronze Z badges on the sides! (found out from a member at the Midlands meet with a GT4!)
