Hi All Still love the K1 dont get me wrong, and most tracks are without DB limits so no issue However i was at bedford on saturday (pics to follow) and although i had the bungs in and passed the static test at 4.5k revs, i did set one of the drive by things off, head marshall was reasonable etc so i just had to lift off once i knew where they all were, 4 in total 3 of them grouped, so lots of track to play with still Is there anyway anyone can think of apart from changing exhaust to make this even quieter? Anyone had any experience with steel wool? Dont want to get banned from the track and i got vouchers on saturday for another free session! Also really dont want to change exhaust but i will if cant get an answer... ta

The problem is the posting of misinformation not the fact that people are suggesting something is tat. In the thread i was trying to sell the brake parts in i asked a Mod to remove the less helpful posts from the people who unfortunately didnt actually know what they were talking/commenting about. This actually ended up in the more helpful comments getting deleted as well but at least the bad ones had gone. I dont understand people who would purposefully go out to comment negatively about something they dont understand, i hardly have enough time to read and comment on the ones i am interested in...

not as easy to fit the plenum to the revup engine as you need a new oil collector as well...

i have a friend who trades zeds among other sports cars and he does it on a per car basis, their cut that is, if its been sat on the forecourt costing them money he has occasionally let it go for a v small margin just to free up the space for the next thing he thinks he can sell... I would keep an eye out and see how long they have had said zed, if its been there a few weeks then there are more likely to try their luck, if its been there for 6 weeks plus then they might be more willing to take less margin, just be prepared to walk away from the deal, and try and have a few examples in mind... also, be warned that if you test drive one you may turn into a teenage kid again

From Glasses guide (the uptodate one) So you would be looking at it needing to be excellent condition, allow for the fact no one wants to pay full price, then put another grand in and then look at an earlier model zed maybe? Excellent condition: £10500 Average condition: £9450 Below average condition: £8410 gluk it will be worth the effort

thats what i was getting at although badly worded be interesting to see the 0-65 or 0-70 times in comparison to the 350z
-
0-60 4.7 0-70 6.2 Took an additional 1.5 seconds to go from 60-70.... i think the 4.7 is very optimistic, i understand it takes exponentially more power each additional 10mph but 1.5 secs hmm maybe second gear just touches 60 and theres a shorter gear ratio on this than the current 350z.

if you were going FI would there be an advantage in getting the ECU before hand? The torque does look like magic -

the figures arnt too bad but that is quite expensive for the increase, though i guess that depends how many hours they have spent on it. i think the proof will be how it drives though, when do you get it back? -

Digsy, this is from the blog though i know that may or may not be as accurate as it could be This test used a 350Z which was otherwise standard except for a Nismo exhaust system, so that we could determine the effects of transfering the tuning priority away from emissions and towards performance. -
Polished power steering & windscreen washer tanks, Carbon Battery covers, OEM style polished oil cap & the other 2 are being kept under wraps for now Who sorted you out with the black plenum? when will it be finished ?
-

Great day on saturday, was really cold but clear sky! no traffic and free roaming in the pits, which was cool as long as you wernt drifting off as the cars had right of way... These legend cars were awesome, going to try and make it to a race next year if i can... this thing flew.. next years ginetta This was tigers effort going forwards into next year, this thing was rapid but didnt manage to get a price My m8 behind the Veyron style airbrake i had specially fitted to the aygo new skelta, this thing looks horrible imo though it got a lot of attention and deserved it from some insane laptimes! What can you say about an sr8?
-
when i say falkens i mean the 452 model on 19's with another inch in width over standard as well
-
personally couldnt disagree with that more ran both the bridgestones and the falkens on track and the falkens are a lot better, currently running stock suspension (soon to be changed). The bridgestones were prolly a little better from cold and imo both fairly useless in the wet but in dry falkens worlds apart, maybe this is just driving style? who knows... falkens also performed well at the strip, grip is immense......

unsure if all of the K1 is japspeed, only know that the Y pipe is, and also that the Y pipe is the most restrictive part of the standard system.

In process of replacing brakes, wondering if there is any interest in 4 brembo discs/calipers/pads both front and rear pm me a sensible offer. pads on the front are ebc yellow, rear standard brembo, also have spare front brembo pads, part worn. This would be ideal for someone without the gt pack
