  1. bah, just cause we dont have to go sideways constantly to go forwards
  2. i usually use the misssessess car for work but had to go to southampton in mine yesterday, didnt hang about and loved every moment, struggled to get an A3 network printer in the passenger seat mind and having done so it sort of acted like a drunk adult but still lots of fun, filthy now though and i dont think ill get to clean her till after the track day this weekend...
  3. great choice mr top might need a change of name as well now to something like welded top ? good to see you about again!
  4. i suspect it depends on how you drive not that i break the speed limit etc but i dont hang about either, yellows worked well for me (as a commuter) but then i never tried the reds myself
  5. i had the EBC yellow stuff on my zed before the portable brick wall was installed and thought they were excellent, still a lot of bite from cold, would, imo, be worth working out how much more yellows were over reds
  6. i do exactly the same, ive swapped my exhaust three times now and about to be a fourth, the half in the garage thing works nicely, im currently in the process of fitting brackets all over the place so that i can hang the old parts ive modded
  7. Hi Guys Just in case anyone else is contemplating it ill be here with a few m8's http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/trackdays/event-details.asp?ProductID=4605 Bedford is a great track
  8. i work next to some form of police related lockup for cars with an office attached, they seem to cover, warwick/leamington and a fair amount of the M40, within this secluded area there are a few unmarked Volvo's and quite a few Octavia's in black as well as a marked Evo 9 and a marked hawkeye impreza sti... had one behind me on the a46 with his lights on, i was doing about 75, had no where to pull over, inside lanes queuing to go off slip road, (and he didnt want me) so i had to speed up to about 105 then slammed the brakes on and pulled in to middle lane, this is with a K1 so was making quite a noise, his passenger gave me the on the way past... didnt know what else to do really...
  9. ill be going this year but i was hoping to catch a race as apposed to doing a few laps myself
  10. K&N typhoon, ARC & GT design are the only 3 I can think of that have a mandrel bent pipe The Nismo R-Tune also has a black mandrel bent pipe i think
  11. im going on sat but i live 10 mile away and a m8 brought me the ticket, i enjoyed it last year tho
  12. if its replacement parts due to wear then dont touch it, it could however have had uprated parts installed? do you know if OEM?
  13. thats why i said behind the front grille, it wouldnt look right mounted into the bumper...
  14. on a very basic level there is no reason you couldnt get a single one and hide it behind the grille and then have some way of triggering it from in the car (maybe linked to the folding mirror button being pressed to close? past that my boss has got radar sensors mounted under all of the bumpers and all around her 5 series, they do the trick if the car is in park mode, though someone hit her after she parked it almost a week after collection so who knows
  15. it feels that way to be fair, with the bungs in the k1 on the drag strip i got a faster 60/120ft time and a similar terminal time, without i got a slightly slower 60/120ft time but a higher terminal speed and was actually .01 slower, anything when talking about .01 though could be down to the pie i ate pre run
  16. Im selling my K1 (without Y Pipe) with removable silencers for £200 + postage. Ill put it up in traders section with photos at the weekend, also, that pops and burbles on back off and sounds lovely (unfortunately to loud for my local track )
  17. Excellent Kit, well worth the money, increases brake performance to another level entirely, also looks cool currently what nissan are using on their GT4 race cars though not with road/track pads
  18. performance wise doing laps on a track or point to point you usually gain more time by increasing the distance before you need to brake and the traction/hanlding round/through corners, so a lot of people believe that the best performance upgrades to begin with are brakes/suspension*. *this excludes zmanalex' 600bhp roadster although he has done the brakes id be suprised if that saved him more time than the 600bhp did
  19. Clutch wise 60k is about the point where they start to go south, the only issues with that is it depends how its been driven and cared for, as for the belts im sure someone else will be here shortly
  20. having heard H5's / robs install i can vouch for the quality, the definition in his system is unbelievable
