  5. im an avid fan and have been watching from the start, always ammusing but nothing will beat the halo3 review
  6. ive gained 3 places, excellent, chris i can find your boat, add LoserUsers
  7. good stuff how do i know if im moving? just have to wait ten minutes?
  8. Just joined, Boat name is LoserUsers position: 68020th also started heading the wrong way so im trying to turn around
  9. good god man, take the bus next time and pretend its a zed with chavs in it...
  10. lol, Bedford Autodrome's GT circuit, apart from one corner its a really nice track, home to palmer motorsport. m25 is a cheaper trackday and the pits usually have a mcdonalds in them but i find it a bit tedious
  11. must admit i thought he had sold those to adam but ill drop him a pm.
  12. i was doing a full lap of cool down which considering the 3.6 mile length of the track should have been enough! blower for the pits isnt a bad idea, just need to work out how i might go about powering it and repairing the damage thats been done... a file and some t-cut i suppose
  13. excellent thanks ill have a look at that, i wonder if they could just be used on the track and then taken off again... the problem is not when im on the track as the airflow keeps it cool but when the car is stationary sat in the pits after, the heat has no where to go
  14. not touching the bumper though the clearence isnt much, about the thickness of my finger. the amount of heat coming from the exhaust after the short track sessions is sufficient enough to melt it
  15. Well, my scorpion exhaust has managed to melt my rear bumper slightly, im not too concerned with the damage at the moment but dont want it to get worse, is there anyway i can prevent this from happening? i dont want to spend £100+ on varis heat sheilds but there doesnt appear to be an alternative!
  16. +1, just wait till the pressure and revs have dropped, i usually bring the car carefully around the rev range before absaloutly nailing it i.e. i dont sit in 5th gear doing 30mph at 2000rpms then red line it in 2nd, ill probably go up to 4000 a few times before going to the red line, no idea if this makes any difference but hey
  17. one of the companies quoting me at the moment are saying the motec is the better ECU for the revup engines... does anyone have any opinions on this, the other company is edging towards the haltech...
  18. this reminds me of a conversation i was having with a marshall at brandshatch... just built a new estate within a couple of miles of the track, loads of people have moved in knowing its right next to a race track and now brands are being forced to increase the restrictions on noise, which means some of the events now cant be held there etc... ARRRRRGGHHHHHH, why move next to a race track and expect no noise, i suppose the above might have been the other way around but in my mind if i want a 'cheap' house next to an airfield i would suspect that people wouldnt be flying paper bl**dy airplanes there!!?!?!!
  19. you can have the ECU remapped to take advantage but it is not a cheap process and the gains are usually quite minimal because it is an N/A engine, the ECU on these cars and looms/mapping costs are far more than on any other car ive owned. I have 2 quotes at the moment which im considering but your looking at about £2.5k all in for the ECU/looms/connectors/Remap mappers time/dyno/fuel/testing. It would appear as though it is only worth doing if you are considering going FI in the future when a new ECU will be required to take control of the boost pressure etc...
  20. I swore id never have another samsung but this is like no other samsung ive owned, i went for the 16gig version and its excellent far better than the HTC touch i tried before it and the M3100 before that
  21. just come back from the track, i live in the house above the garages on the corner, just saw the nose of yours poking out as i rolled into the garage
  22. Just to report on the day: was excellent, met some really nice people, didnt get overtaken more than once, and that was an R8, there were skylines/scoobs/evo's/cossies/exiges/elises etc... suspension and brake upgrade was they best idea ive had in a long time, being able to outbrake almost everything on the track apart from one of the exiges was a massive advantage, i was braking about 50m after everything i passed and one of the tutors i took out said without the ABS i could probably have left it even later... Also the KW suspension makes such an incredible difference, i was catching both evo's and scoobs through corners!!! had a few comments from the owners of both as to wtf id done to it i suspect some of that might be down to the driver experience side of things but im glad that I made the choice to keep the zed and turn it into a track toy. Also fitted the K&N typhoon last night went quite well, will post some pics of trackday and typhoon later
