  1. Ah okay. So if you were drag racing you would have to change gear before 60 to stop it bouncing off the limiter? Mine hits that at about 67-70, goin up the strip i changed at just over 62.
  2. id disagree about the engine, i think the engine is awesome when you get it into the right powerband and keep it there, Although ive spent a fair amount modding mine i was passing elises/exiges/vx220's/boxters on the track with relative ease just with better brakes/suspension stock v stock is another argument i guess, from what i read the chassis itself is very capable (although a little heavy) its just let down a bit by the stock equipment for track use.
  3. Zed but my boss has a bmw z4 also referred to as the zed so can get a little confusing, tho usually only when deciding who's driving to the pub until everyone remembers both only have 2 seats and we take the 5 series
  4. im hoping to stay on the wet stuff this time and stop hitting china! so the next leg is on saturday eh! ill be attaching a rope to martins boat
  5. +1 ive tried the yellow stuff and the ferodo's, for daily use they are very similar, maybe slightly more bite from cold in the yellow stuff, and for track use the DS2500's are far better imo assuming your lapping a track and not doing sprints.
  6. looks good but im a little confused with the sizes mentioned, it reckons a single car garage requires 4 boxes, there is no way my single garage is bigger than 4x42 sq ft... am i just missing something obvious here or am i actually a borrower with a garage the size of a matchbox...
  7. And maybe make the title more accurate !!!! +1
  8. misunderstanding.......that was me being polite only alex can resolve this and in your defence, your post is factual and not emotive and you have tried to sort this behind closed doors before going public very odd though as alex deals with much more expensive items than this over to you alex.............................. +1, dealt with Alex on a number of occasions and wouldnt hesitate to do so again, i can only imagine that the bit of wet string connecting his PC to the internet has gone south , im sure he will sort this out for you
  9. This was my first idea, however ive been advised it takes a few layers to do it properly and 5 days to dry, i cant have the car outside for 5 days!!! thanks for the advice tho m8
  10. first google hit i had when i searched and they are based within 2 miles of my house, had a look at weekend, about 250 quid ish to do my garage, looks good and he said they do 5% off etc so might move more on price. i dont know anyone thats used it before tho... you could do your entire garage in yellow beavis
  11. Anyone have any experience of this type of flooring, i was hoping to do out the garage in some tile effect, the people at http://dynotile.co.uk/ state that you can jack a car on the floor or a van and easy to fit etc.... any reason i shouldnt make my garage look like a giant chess board rather than breathing in dust each time i open the door???
  12. Which corner dont you like? Chris, its the one just before the the long straight, from the marshall's ive spoken to no one there likes it and most believe it would never make it onto a race track through being too dangerous... i dont hate it as such i just prefer the others
  13. Sorry to hear this Andrew, my thoughts are with you and your family.
  14. if it helps i think that would suit your car quite nicely
  15. What anti roll bars are you running alex? (assume they wernt too difficult to fit?)
  16. Interested in what you have to say after brands alex keep us updated!
  17. can you imagine that with 120,000 people!
  18. good choice sir who's fitting them for you?
  19. im still trying to reach the finish, managed to hit Taiwan by accident and now the wind has changed im buggered, my work collegue accidently went the other way round it and has now almost finished!
  20. I used to have a great Seagate prog that allowed you to do proper low level reformats of the drive. Shame I cant seem to find it any more. Now a days they charge a fortune for doing something very simple. I can see in Windows how it would leave a trail of mess to follow, but there should be something cheap and easy to do in DOS to love level format the disk. Depends how desperate you are. Maybe we should do some experiements and see if MrLizzards lot can get it back. Sure the geeks there would be up for some fun m8, at 800 quid a day im sure they would come round and have dinner at your house if you wanted them too, tho i think they try to avoid social occasions if possible
  21. I work with both sides of this occasionally, confidential data that needs destroying and people with destroyed data that needs recovering. For recovery as long as the data is physically there the third party we work with charge 800 a day and havent failed yet, we are talking partially burnt tapes that havent been used for 25+ years, they are all scientists in lab coats i have no idea what they do but their damn good... On the other side one of the companies we do IT server support for are a large steel manafacturer 2500 deg c seems to just about do the trick with hard drives, takes about 1 second for it to dissapear and not even a nerd in a lab coat can get that back
  22. I think it did but it was the first mod i did to a stock car (other than the stubby aerial) after fitting the K1 couldnt really hear much else
