  1. excellent choice Colin was expecting you might go for a black one again but the white looks excellent
  2. there wont be much difference, if you kept the TC on in both cars there would be no difference i suspect. i test drove the auto on the road before going to silverstone and even with the tc on it was still lots of fun
  3. i would agree that the gear change is quick, though i reckon my old DSG on the audi was as quick, and neither have got anything on the speed the gtr changes gear. i know someone selling a £18,000.00 sequential box for a 370z if you fancy that chris?
  4. im racing mine but even before the weight loss (car not driver) the APracing big brake kit is brilliant, once up to temperature the stopping power is unbelievable, id say before you get them up to temp they are better than OEM but once they are up to temp ive not felt anything stop so quick, apart from maybe an atom with alcons..
  5. the blip on downshifts is fantastic, going into club/vale going from 4th to 2nd, honestly, manual is miles better
  6. Chris, sorry just realised you had posted in this. The Auto with the TC off, still reigns you in when on the limit, for road driving not a problem, its not a great idea to changing gears half way round a corner but when your going quick enough for one side of the car to be loaded and the corner isnt 'that' sharp you have to change gear to exit the corner at the maximum speed. The car changes gear and kills the power to the wheels until you take your foot off the accelerator, unwind the wheel (even slightly, like an inch) and then reapply, i would strong suggest the manual m8. Same corner in the GTR, no worries, changes up, sorts out the torq to the wheels and you dont notice it Same corner in the manual 370z, with some gentle throttle control, ie no stamping, it changes gear and carries on as if nothing happened Same corner in my car, change gear, goes a little sideways, and then back to where you should be... The auto box in the gtr is fantastic but the 370z auto didnt do it for me, pm me if you need anymore info m8.

    Spoilers

I have a carbon boot lid and have holes drilled ready for a spoiler, just need to take care where you drill them and use the right tool for the job, i didnt drill them myself but i know there is a drill bit that is supposed to stop you cracking frp/carbon, buy spoiler (and one for me too?) then ask someone like envy how to mount it
  8. changing gears mid corner at full throttle is a handful with the standard suspension, chassis doesnt have a problem but the suspension has a fit, as mentioned above the car doesnt like huge changes whilst one side or the other is loaded, that doesnt mean to say it cant corner quickly once you get used to it, just takes a bit longer to get the most out of rwd v front or 4wd, more rewarding when you do too
  9. useless box on the track tho, i test drove one on the roads and obviously quite extensively on the track, even with all the assists off it still wouldnt let you completely take control... same corner in a manual and no issues at all
  10. why? Nissan have 'issues' with hill starts in GT-R's Its something to do with reversing up hill so I have read... but as usual, dont belive everything you read on forums!! i met someone on the race academy thing that said his car threw up the ecu warning the first time he tried to reverse up a gentle incline, nissan were good with him, need a whole load of things replacing, someone turned up at the race academy in person to apologise, they seemed to think that it was either an issue or not an issue, i think anything thats done a few thousand should be fine?
  11. lol, i got black falgged on track with the k1 as the flyby was so loud, if your louder than that i would probably worry a little
  12. and 108 or something on flyby
  13. if it helps my old k1 read 94db at 4k revs
  14. Nismo is now idling ok but having issues starting, vet reckons another couple of hours before a proper start and refuel! go on nixy, more cats the better!
  15. he puts it on when he wants food, usually as nixy seems to be experiencing its claws out all the time, De on the other hand seems to never use her claws, she isnt 'going in' for another month
  16. woohooo if there is one thing he doesnt need to do and thats move any quicker, i was hoping he would return more miles to the food,
  17. my cat is getting chopped and chipped today, which the mrs assures me isnt going to give him any more bhp also asked if he can be cornerbalanced but suspect the vet might refuse, suffice to say he is on the ramps now.. poor little nismo
  18. scorpion sounds good, sort of screams at you when you boot it tho i went from a k1 to scorpion and liked the k1 a lot more. cant imagine what the k1 might sound like now i have no interior i suspect blown ear drums...

    show cage

i think envy can get hold of the 6 point cusco, i would say as a daily driver not to bother, the zeds doors dont lend themselves to getting out gracefully anyway, a metal bar across the door just makes things harder

    show cage

thanks mr husky, fireproof foam now that is a show cage mark

    show cage

lol The Cusco bolt in (6 or 8 point) one is what I would consider a show cage, but that will at least help in an accident, if you fly off the road and flip onto your roof then you might be ok, however if you fly off a track and roll 10 times then you want something a bit more resilient Also, need to be careful about driving, i put padding on mine which might not work for show etc but i wouldnt really want to drive it without a helmet, if you hit your head on the metal then you would bend first if anyone wants info on the cage let me know.
