NOW ON PISTONHEADS
-
to be honest I love it to bits and it's an amazing car, but I want to treat myself to a new kitchen and bathroom! :lol my plan is to put some of the money from selling the car towards that
-
Sorry guys ive been on holiday and only just got back last night, ive had loads of interest but the car is still for sale at the mo.....
-
Tin snips (metal scissors) will cut through pretty much any thing within reason, i use mine for loads of things. I got some from Halfords and i think they were only a tenner
-
What about this fine example?? http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20250 Also has a list of mods
-
What model are they? Look very nice Recaro 'Sport', ive had a few different Bucket style seats in different cars in the past but i had these in my Evo and i cant honestly say that they are brilliant. They fit perfectly with the Zed interior, most people think that they came with the car as standard, and they hug in all the right places. It took me ages to track some down. Excellent matey Trying to decide if the extra £75 per seat is worth it to have leather bolsters or not. I like the all Alcantra look but think it might wear. Looks more sporty all fabric, but looks classier with the leather bolsters Defo go for leather if you can, loads of the Integra ones i looked at were buggered from wear on the bolsters, the extra ££ will be better in the long run as the bolsters wont need replacing with leather, and its easy to keep clean

Which Recaros did you get? Considering getting some Recaro's myself ENJOY! The are awesome, black leather and alcantara

Might be worth putting the car back to OEM and selling the moded parts as such Ha ha, only because you want some of the bits Mark! To be honest id prefer to sell it as it is, plus if i put it back to stock then id have to drive around in a boring Zed until it sells!
-
Before i bought my Recaros i was thinking about getting some from the Integra type R's. Try www.japperformanceparts.co.uk they sell parts from accident damaged cars and can supply you with some in in black and red just bear in mind that the alcantara wears heavily on the bolsters

Just a quick update, as i have all the original parts still in storage the car can be sold with relatively any combination of mods. So for example if someone likes the car but doesnt want the engine mods for insurance reasons then i can put the engine bay back to stock, or if someone doesnt like the kit then i can put the original bumpers and skirts back on. Therefore the price can be subject to what mods go with the car

I searched for ages and then went for my Ultralites:

I only just had my two new 20's fitted yesterday after waiting 3 months for the council to pay out for them. Make sure your mum takes photos of the damage, pothole, how deep the pothole was and a photo of the road it was on showing the direction she was travelling in. I actually cocked up when i did my claim as they ask for a map showing where the pothole was and because i dont travel on the road often i marked the location completely wrong! but the inspection guy phoned me when he was trying to find the pothole to prove it was there and i went and met him and he corrected the location on the map for me (nice man!) They sent me a letter first saying that they wasnt going to pay out until i said i would take them to court and letter came in the post saying they were giving me 'favorable consideration' and they BACs the payment into my account. Oh and just to add, when the inspections guy found the pothole they had already filled it but my pics matched the exact shape and size of the hole so they couldnt wriggle out of it

Thanks for the kind comments lads, really means alot, she does look stunning in the sun the paint goes a bit 'Candy' looking.
-
cheers guys, I don't really want to sell the parts separately because if the car doesn't sell then it will give me an excuse to keep it for the summer!! But if it does sell and I have some goodies left over I'll give you guys first refusal

I’ve been thinking about putting the Zed up for sale for a while now so I can move onto my next project but the problem is I love it to bits and I keep convincing myself not to sell it! It’s a UK 54 reg with 23500 miles and I’m the second owner. It has full history (only just had its P3 in March) and is HPI clear. Tax till Jan 2010, and MOT till March 2010. Garaged. Now for the good stuff! I bought the car in Jan 08 and have since spent near to £6000 on modifications with the plan to turn it into a show car. EXTERIOR: Genuine Veilside V3 kit bought from Nemesis Clear front reflectors Silver front indicator bulbs Carbon B pillars Crystal clear rear bumper lights inc L.E.D bulbs Stubby aerial Neoform wipers L.E.D. rear lights WHEELS: 20’’ Gunmetal Ultralite GT2’s bought from SRB Power, 8.5x 20 front 10x 20 rear, 245/ 30 front and 285/ 25 rear Falken FK 452. INTERIOR: Black Leather/ Alcantara Recaros on custom OMP sub frames link:(http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13818) ARC titanium gear knob Clarion touch screen head unit Nissan mats Cargo net ENGINE: ESR Polished plenum ESR Plenum spacer Summit strut brace ARC intake pipe ARC super induction box ARC slam panel Nismo oil cap Nismo radiator cap Tein bonnet lifters Colour coded engine cover ESR stainless Y pipe Blitz Nur spec exhaust Orange SFS Performance silicon hoses Looking for £15999 *OPEN TO SENSIBLE OFFERS* Every single original part that came off the car is in storage including the wheels, seats, exhaust, rear lights, engine components, head unit, bumpers, skirts etc. The new owner will receive all of these parts included in the sale if sold for the asking price. I’m in Maidstone in Kent, p.m. or email (breay@autoplanet.co.uk) if interested. This is the best performance car I have ever owned, it sounds awesome, handles fantastic and turns heads where ever it goes. I’m only going to put the car up for sale on here to start off with as I want it to go to a good home. Ben.

Bought from trade dealer without road tax, is this legal?
breay replied to Fien's topic in 350Z General
Fien just to let you know a Cat D is the least serious of a write off, it goes D, C, B, A with A being the most extreme. However, to write a zed off in any way even a cat D it would need to have major damage! front bumper damage would no way write a car off! If the garage told you that then they are talking out of their arses! We get people part exchanging their cars all the time that have been write off's, the value of the cars in part exchange are usually 1/2 what they would normally get!!!! make sure you think things through, consider that the tempting cheap purchase price may not be worth the difficulty in selling it later on, the crap PX price in the future and more importantly not knowing if the repair to get it back on the road was carried out to a high standard! -

Im in the trade, all our cars are sold without tax. Its the customers responsibility to get the tax after they have collected the car with us, we dont even need to see a cover note. When the car is collected we give the customer the green slip off the V5 (we send the V5 to the DVLA) MOT if applicable and then we offer 7 days free insurance through Norwich Union if they need a cover note to tax it with. If they have their own by collection they use that instead. Some dealers can tax a car without adding another owner to the log book but thats using a system only for new cars. Hope this helps -
Unfortunately that sounds about right, im a Finance Manager in the trade and they would call that an administration change so the finance docs show the reg thats on the car, thats why they are charging an admin fee. They will also charge a fee for changing your DD date as well, any reason to steal money off you!! You could try and fight it but the fees would probably be in your T&C's if not you might have a case

Ian was selling his standard suspension...might be worth a p.m. to him

Konnichiwa!! Welcome to the Veilside club! (well...almost!)

Service intervals are: P1, P2, P1, P3, repeat cycle.... A P2 and P3 are the same, only thing to check is what additional service items you may need as well, see below: Fuel filter: replace every 36,000 miles (maintenance free on 350z) Antifreeze: Every 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever sooner. (not only protects against freezing, but prevents corrosion of internal engine parts) Cambelt: NA on 350z Platinum tipped spark plugs: every 5 years or 54,000 miles. Manual transmission oil: replace at 54,000 miles. The 350z uses a viscous coupling type L.S.D. so no need to change the oil Hope this helps
