  1. Of course it is, and that's true. That's also why they come back the next year and work harder (hopefully) to get the trophies. Playing pretty football is all well and good, but I'd rather see long-ball and have a few trophies than loads of intricate passing and nothing to show. Also Highbury was rubbish and although it was a shame they made it into flats (and it's very weird walking past them now), the Emirates is a wonderfully modern stadium that is the nicest I've ever been to. Just a shame that 90% of the crowd are so utterly silent, the club and ground deserve more support. On a side note, I notice that we're now selling Gradel as well so that's him, Kilkenny, Schmeichel, and Johnson all out the door this year. We've got naff-all up front as everyone's injured, can't stop shipping goals, and struggling for form big-time. Oh, and we've Man Utd next in the Carling Cup. Brilliant. I reckon you Gooners have got it easy compared to us.
  2. I was thinking that, but didn't want to be shouted down by the hordes who think that a Zed should always be worth at least £27K. I would suggest doing what Lexx says and scan PH and AT for ideas of the market, but always stick to your guns if you believe you can get a better figure for it in your area.
  3. That'll be quite difficult to do from the Championship Wenger is a great manager and has had some great success, but the truth is his Plan A is no longer working and there is no Plan B. He's picked up some great players and some true duffers, but then so has every single manager ever. The sad thing is though that Arsenal might as well stick with him as there's no-one else out there, unless O'Neill feels like giving it a go. Man Utd's debt is completely manageable as long as they stay successful, and the same is true with Barca and Real. I'm a Leeds man so no-one knows the pain of mismanagement of finances more than me and my club, but I wouldn't have traded those glory days in Europe playing some fantastic football for anything.
  4. + millionty Even if you just change the gear knob in your car, tell your insurer. The worst they can do is laugh at you and tell you they don't care.
  5. The worrying part is that they also had players like Walcott, RvP, Rosicky and Arshavin on the pitch who aren't exactly kids any more! Made me laugh this morning watching an interview with Wenger who said that they are just about to sign another striker so don't panic Someone really needs to tell him that it's a back four and a midfield who can hold onto the ball that he could do with more than anything. Paul Merson in the TV box after the game was absolutely livid with rage, and rightly so. Speaking of pundits, that was the first time I'd seen Gary Neville in his new role and I have to say that he was excellent, as despite him obviously having a Utd bias (and fair enough too) it didn't come through in the slightest, and his commentary was both informed and fair. Tbh this title is as good as Utd's again. City will fall away once the pressure of playing in the CL hits home, especially if they make the final stages, and Chelsea still don't seem the powerhouse they should be and I suspect it'll take AVB a while to gel the team how he wants it. Whether he gets the time or not is another matter. Liverpool look strong and are playing well but I'm not sure what will happen once/if Suarez gets injured: He could be their next Gerrard in both quality and talisman.
  6. I've still got the iPad as for the moment that's what I use to play music on the downstairs stereo, streamed via Airtunes from the PC upstairs and I know of no other way to do that as easily right now (any pointers on doing this via Android would be welcome, but I'm not not going to change from using iTunes as a media controller on the PC!). Is Splash Desktop HD the best way of controlling a PC from an Android tablet? It seems to be the most popular on the store, but that doesn't always count for a lot...!
  7. Woah, where were you from 1990 until circa 2010?! Everyone hated MS until Win10 came out and now its 'cool to hate on Apple instead. I don't really see why people feel they need to sit in either camp 100%, since there's faults in both platforms. Anyhoo, back on topic, I've been a tad poorly this week so haven't had a chance to play with the new tablet until now. The screen is far clearer on the Galaxy than on the iPad, but its nowhere near as sensitive which leaves you hammering at the screen rather than tapping. The browser is far quicker in normal use than Safari though, especially when moving back and forth through pages. Navigation is also a pain in Android right now as you need to look all over the screen for the correct button for what you want, and this is an area Apple excel in. I like how I can put whatever I want wherever I want across the homepages, but as yet there's nothing I particularly want to put there. The text entry is vile compared with iOS and the amazing hold-to-zoom function, and its taken me a good five mins to figure out how to move the cursor to exactly where I want it. Intuitive it is not. If the Galaxy 10.1 was £100 cheaper than an iPad it would be a bargain, but its the same price and there's nothing here I can find to recommend over the Apple alternative so far. That said, this is very early days and I didn't bond with my iPad at first either, so I excited to see how I feel about it in a month or so.
  8. I'll be honest and say that it's been so long since I looked at a 350 HU wiring loom that I wouldn't like to say one way or another matey. If the connectors fit, and you've definitely bought the right ones for the car and HU, then apart from the earth there should be no issues at all. Why would there be an earth running off for the steering wheel controls? Admittedly mine was an Alpine unit, but I don't remember anything like that on mine which is why I asked the question.
  9. You really shouldn't have to. Are you sure you've connected the earth into the correct cable? Cut into the OEM wiring if you're not sure.

Technically yes, it would, but why you'd ever want to is beyond me.
  11. It's £25 per year, but only if it's not on a vehicle.
  12. I would seriously hope that it was well turned off before any drag strip action, else it's pointless otherwise.
  13. The numberplate rules are clear to everyone on the DVLA website, and tbh they're also pretty fair to everyone too. If you want to break the law then by all means go ahead, but you really can't complain and whinge if you get done. I used to run no front plate on the VXR and never got stopped, but you can bet your arse I wouldn't complain if I did. We all know the rules and they're easy enough to stick to. May be the copper that stopped the OP used to be lenient about plates until one day he saw the same scroat who he'd already given a warning to still running dodgy plates, and then thought sod it, what's the point when no-one listens? We'd all do the same in his shoes, it's human nature to get narked off when you've given people a fair chance.
  14. That's because that's for the old layout, the 370 is on the new one. Click tracks at the top and go to the new Bedford layout, it's on there.
  15. That's partly why I've avoided Android up until now, as you get all this can't-run-program-X-because-you-need-Android-Butterfly-Squash-Table-4.6.7.88.1.Beta and that's no way to run things in this day and age IMHO. Google know this as well as anyone, and that's got to be a huge part of their logic behind the Motorola acquisition.
  16. Really? That seems like a catastrophic error from RIM. I saw the adverts and that was my original choice, but a few good friends of mine have gone from iPad to Galaxy 10.1 and they kinda convinced me it was the move to make. I'm very easily led like that.
  17. In fairness that Mini can be hustled incredibly quickly, and the BMW is no slouch either on track. You may not be going as quick in the Zed, but you'd be having more fun
  18. Never jailbroken any iThing, I genuinely like how it works as it is bar the crippled browser. I wouldn't want to jailbreak it and lose the easy updating and working perfectly for everything else. I'm not as tech-savvy as I used to be and I CBA to faff around with stuff anymore, I just throw money at the problem instead!
  19. As much as I detest these power board things, the Evo one is the one I would trust over the TG one. Far more realistic times
  20. Not a fan then Chris?! More updates! The touch screen is still nowhere near as sensitive as the iPad. Boo. I've accidentally deleted a contact from the thing after I synced with FB and now I can't get it back. Arse. Browser seems a bit clunky. Can't put my finger on it. Android store is fugly. It's nice to hold, and the moving background is a nice touch.
  21. I don't know yet, I may see if the missus can make use of it in someway or if there's something particularly creative I can use it for. Initial thoughts after literally 5 mins of use: I miss being able to tap the top of the screen to scroll to the top instantly. It's not as obvious where to click for various things. Unlocking is irritating. The social hub thing works quite well (when I can remember my passwords!). Where's the option tab FFS??!! *edit* Found the options. Eventually.
  22. First off Mr Jobs quits as Apple boss, and then I finally jump ship and purchase a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 because I'm fed up of not having Flash support on my iPad. Sorry Steve! It's currently sat next to me having it's first charge, and then I'm going to have a play. I've always been a staunch Apple fan because all their stuff is incredibly well built and works an absolute treat, but whilst I can live with my iPhone not doing the web properly because it does everything else so awesomely, I'm using a tablet at home more and more as my main interweb surfing thing so I've splashed out. Never used anything Android-related before and tbh whenever I've played with one in a shop it's felt a bit cheap and poorly constructed compared with iOS, but I'm sure my views will be changed once I get used to it.
  23. I totally aggree that this is the correct priority. You can't do much without a house. Rubbish, you can sleep in a truck but you can't drive a house Work out what's more important and go from there. If it's the Zed, keep the Zed. If it's the truck, get the truck. If it's the house, buy the house. All good points and all true, but unless you're planning on selling in the next 5 years it's also a bit irrelevant. Your house could be worth £3.50 whilst you're paying a £200,000 mortgage on it, but if you're not selling it doesn't matter how much it's worth and it'll be worth £250,000 in 5 years' time.
  24. As always, drivers and weather conditions aren't equal so 95% of those times are irrelevant.
  25. Unless you must have the newer car, save yourself a bit and get the blobeye model with the 2L engine. It's a more solid lump and the interior is identical to the hawkeye. Good little cars though, not as quick as you'd expect but still get a shift on when you need to. Bloody thirsty though!
