  1. Z4MCs are far rarer than any Zed, you sure you're not just seeing regular Z4Cs? When on the move and on the fun roads, a Z4MC is going to be significantly quicker than a 370, but again it depends on what you're after. Running costs will be more for the BMW, but I strongly suspect worth every penny and the costs will be offset by the lesser depreciation costs.
  2. No contest, Z4M every day. It's a stunning design that will not date IMHO, and whilst the 370Z is no doubt a great car in it's own right it cannot compete with that wonderful straight six and snicky gear change. As ever, drive both and see what you think as you may prefer the fussiness of the Zed interior to the blandness of the Bee-Em, I suspect you'll vastly prefer the drive of the German. They just look so good
  3. £500 incl tyres so far on eBay
  4. Do the tyres, and get something decent this time If it still doesn't solve it, then it's the wheels themselves and at least you'll have a decent set of tyres you can then sell on to recoup the cost if you want to put the crappy tyres back on. The other option would be to source some wheels from eBay, but then you're back on unknown quantities but will be half the price for a set of wheels.
  5. No no no no no no NO This is a classic racing Porsche: That other thing is a monstrosity.
  6. Seriously? What kind of retard would actually sit there and watch crap like that on FB? I hate MP games so I'll pick this up in a couple of years to whizz through the SP bit over a weekend. Still haven't played Blops yet for the same reason. It's such a shame they concentrate so heavily on the MP bit as the CoD games used to be a day-one for me, but I was bitten so harshly over MW2 and the poor 3 hours of SP gameplay from it that I'd rather save the cash now. MW1 still remains the absolute pinnacle of the series for me, it was perfect in every single way.
  7. The trouble I have with 3D movies is that I've yet to see one that doesn't use the 3D as a gimmick to hide a fairly poor film underneath (yes, I'm looking straight at you Avatar!). In theory as an absolute gadget freak I should've bought into 3D long ago, but I just can't see the point when I watch a film for the story as much as the glitzy special effects, and when the story is crap then why would I want to watch it? I wouldn't do it in 2D, so why should 3D make a difference? Also every 3D TV I've tried, passive or active, focuses on the centre of the screen being in perfect focus but leaving the edges a blur. That's highly distracting IMHO, and another reason why a decent 2D screen is still the way to go for me personally. I just can't see 3D getting the market penetration for at least another 3-5 years yet in terms of content delivery (a combination of films, games and more importantly terrestrial broadcasts) which is why I'm not keen on shelling out.
  8. Everything is an option on the German stuff! Every bugger specs them though as apparently they're a must-have for re-sale I'd rather save the £500 and get a bit of interior trim in leather instead!
  9. Inspired by a recent post on here, and not wanting to take that thread off course, I thought I'd start a new one instead. I'm nice like that, y'see. So yeah, parking aids. Sensors or cameras, whatever. I have one very simple opinion on these: If you need them to be able to park a car properly, then you really shouldn't be on the road. End of. Everyone was taught to park properly on their driving tests, and cars haven't changed that much that suddenly it's a task of superhuman proportions. In fact, you've now got PAS in just about everything along with stupidly large (and electrically operated!) wing mirrors, so it's easier than it's ever been. I can understand that when you get a new car you're a little unsure at first of the dimensions, and you'll end up parking 2ft further away from the kerb than you intend to, but a couple of weeks down the line you should be fine. NO-ONE NEEDS CAMERAS OR THOSE HORRIBLE LITTLE BEEPING BUMPER-ACNE THINGS. You have eyes and a brain, so use them. Now, if you're driving one of those huuuuuuuuuge lorry things that's about a million feet long then by all means load yourself up with cameras on the back end of those bad boys, but on a common or garden car? Nah. It's pure laziness and they're hardly that clever anyway, as the ones on my car prove when they beep incessantly at me warning me that I have a wall either side when reversing straight out of my garage. And no, I didn't spec them from new I cannot be the only person who gets wound up by people who insist that they need this help for simple low-speed manoeuvring? I shall hereby call them parking AIDS from now on, such is their blight on the world of driving. Who's with me?! *PS Don't take this post too seriously, whilst I'm serious that they're hardly a necessity for driving I'm only using some words for effect, so please don't get too p*ssy about this thread. Fanks!
  10. No offence, but surely parking an inch further away from the kerb would solve this issue for free? That's kinda what people have been doing for the last hundred years without too much difficulty.
  11. It doesn't unless it's a US car. I found out the expensive way
  12. I can categorically state for the record that the image in question has never been Photoshopped. It may, however, have been altered slightly with GIMP as I don't have PS at work. All I did though was alter the levels a bit, as the LED 'On' light on the camera caught a slight reflection of the cat's whiskers which totally killed the entire shot.
  13. Here's my belated submission: It's a sleeping black cat laying next to a Kuro 350Z with black wheels outside a barn painted black in the middle of the countryside on a cloudy night. I think I captured the essence of the blissful innocence of the feline contrasting nicely with the angry masculinity of the car, and all set to the simple elegance of a working farm that embodies the quintessential Britishness.
  14. Agreed. Trouble is that it is half decent everywhere else in the world Have you asked Siri who his daddy is yet?
  15. Welcome to the 21st century To be fair to both them and you it wouldn't have hurt to leave it in, but then technology does need to move forward at some point.
  16. Blimey, that time of the month is it sweetheart?

I only use the harder setting on my PASM when the surface is very good, or more usefully when going over speedbumps so the back end doesn't flop down worryingly close to the floor. The normal setting is far more appropriate for UK roads by a long way.
  18. The 350Z was only available here officially from 2003, which is why that's what all the ads say. Yours is an early JDM import, but it's identical to the 2003 cars so any exhaust that fits a 2003 will fit your car Got a link to the ad?
  19. That's the second time I've seen that book mentioned on car forums this week, I'm really going to have to pick up a copy I think.
  20. For me 3D is a waste of time, but I won't go down that particular rant now. I bought my Sammy 55" 6-series LED telly two years ago when they first came out, and it was an amazing picture then and it's still amazing now. Obviously it's been superceded by the 200hz models (mine's only 100hz) so they look even better now, but I'd happily buy another tomorrow without question. The only downside is the remote, which for a £2500 TV is an utter disgrace but then Samsung use the same remotes give or take across many models to save costs so I can understand that. All that said, DO NOT BUY THAT TELLY WITHOUT VIEWING IT. Go down to your local Currys/Comet for 9am on a Saturday morning, or during the week is even better, and take a particularly impressive BD with you (I used Independence Day as it has lots of fast moving images and plenty of blacks) and try it on a range of TVs. What works for some people make look gash to you, so don't buy without trying it first. I took my Xbox an a copy of Forza 2 with me when I bought my TV and made them set that up for me as well, as before I drop a load of cash you can bet your ass I've going to test it first.
  21. Don't click on a thread entitled UCF/MMA then!
  22. Sounds a very good and very fair result to me Must admit that for all the negative stuff I've heard on here over the years about main dealers and NMGB in general being terrible, I've had nothing but completely positive experiences when dealing with them and warranty claims.
